Congrats! Hopefully we are all right behind you :) The Wii Fit and the Food Network are starting to get boring, but I'm sure I will miss these lazy days once I am working full time!

There are some amazing programs on Discovery channel :-) You're right, it's hard to be sitting home and waiting for required docs.

Got my interview appointment notice today... I was very anxious when I opened the envelope though and hoping it wasn't an RFE - yay, it wasn't!!!

My wife and I received our NOA1 for the EAD and AOS dated March 16th. We had an initial RFE soon after and I sent a prompt response and so that was all settled 2nd week into April. Then my wife had her biometrics on April 23rd. The very next week we got a letter saying that our case is being transferred from Lee's Summit, MO to the California Service Center. Our case received a touch at the very end of April shortly after the CSC received the case. Is there any indication of how long it will take before the EAD arrives?

I did not receive any touches on all my applications after the biometrics... is it possible to have interview before the AP or EAD gets processed?

Just wondering...

I did not receive any touches on all my applications after the biometrics... is it possible to have interview before the AP or EAD gets processed?

How exciting! Congratulations!!! I can't wait till we get ours.

I have heard that you can get your GC even before EAD...it's possible. I think someone in here even got their GC before EAD.

i successfully made a walk-in biometrics today at dallas fort worth, and today my I-485 and I-765 got touch,,,,,,just 2 minutes ago i received a text message from USCIS that my EAD is approved and a new card production ordered,,, i am so happy,,, i am now allowed to work,,, wooooo hooooo,,,, work here i come,,,, :dance:

Day 49 - well, my interview letter arrived today in mail.

No touches since day after biometrics which confirms that no matter

what you may get a gift in mail :-)

June 10 at 9:00 am in Chicago office.

I can't wait for it btw.

Same to you my AOS friend. We both filed on same day. I got my NOA 2 days ahead of you and did my bio 4 days ahead of you.

Your interview is 3 days ahead of mine .... :-)

Go figure, just goes to show you that you may be week off eaither way.

Lets's hope we both get our EAD cards soon.

We're right there with you. ;) We were thinking Dave would be close to his EAD or GC by now. It doesn't seem like people are getting approved for either very quickly though.

The good news is we don't have to both get time off work when we want to take off. This weekend is going to be a small roadtrip for us to Colorado. I'm really looking forward to it. I'm hoping it helps keep him from going crazy.

Hehe my thoughts exactly, although you are a little ahead of me as far when you filed. So my case is under yours in the pile;) I would think my case is fairly easy, and most of the info for AOS where EXACTLY the same as the K1. How many times do they want to read where i lived in the last 10 years, who my last employers were, if I was convicted, if I'm a drug trafficker, etc.? You would assume it would get processed at the same "speed" as everybody else's. Maybe it depends on the local ASC too. But I stopped looking for a logic in USCIS or American bureaucracy in general (not that the Italian one is better :lol: ).
