Trying to predict these things is fairly impossible, I learned that during the K1 process, everyone's case is a little different.

And let's not forget we are dealing with a bureucrats...sometimes there is no rhyme and reason! Maybe I just go off the Italian (bad) example, but i kinda think that in some cases the guy who is supposed to look at your case called in sick/is late/left your file somewhere and so it gets slowed down!

It's funny because if you look at the numbers they have gone down dramatically in the past few years and for example I saw that San Diego only has 200 something pending cases which doesn't seem a lot to me but maybe it is.

Congratulazioni e forza Azzurri! I'll be disappointed too to work before the World Cup but I think I am ready to stop playing desperate housewife ;)

First of all, congrats to Alex and Astrid! That is really awesome!

But like what DainandVicky said, trying to predict these things will only drive yourself crazy! I'm definitely learning to just go along with the ride and hope for the best. Was just talking to hubby yesterday about how random these things are and how much touches you get only probably depends on the individual officer processing the case. Some are more savvy with these systems and some just don't care about keeping us updated.

Anyways, I did my biometrics on the appointed day (4/29/10 Dallas) and got touches the day after. That's it. I'm guessing we'll probably get an interview. Ah the wait again.

I'm keeping a blog detailing this journey!

My wife and I received our NOA1 for the EAD and AOS dated March 16th. We had an initial RFE soon after and I sent a prompt response and so that was all settled 2nd week into April. Then my wife had her biometrics on April 23rd. The very next week we got a letter saying that our case is being transferred from Lee's Summit, MO to the California Service Center. Our case received a touch at the very end of April shortly after the CSC received the case. Is there any indication of how long it will take before the EAD arrives?

They typically try to do EADs within 90 days of filing, but your RFE may slow that timeline, not sure.
