GREEN CARD APPROVED!!!!!!!

I can't believe it, went to check my case status this morning and it was sitting on "CARD PRODUCTION." Are you kidding me, not even expected!

I hope everyone else has speedy approvals!

Congrats! Good for you! Our case is currently in a deadlock since we got an RFE on Mar 25 and we havent sent in a reply. We'll probably end up getting a joint sponsor. only reason i dont mind letting it take forever is coz I have an EAD and have started working. hopefully when we get the reply for RFE everything will go smoothly

My case has been sitting there for over 3 weeks now without an update and no Bio letter either :( Glad to see CSC is moving fast though, it's so exciting you got approved! If you get the GC before the EAD, can you start working?

Yes green card is all that is needed for work or travel. EAD and AP are just needed prior to green card issuance. :star:

My EAD and AP were not approved yet, but the GC trumps EAD. So, it doesn't matter if I never get the EAD, because I don't need it :)

Did you received any notification, such as text message or email, about the green card approval???

Congratulations!

No, I did not get an email or text, even though I am signed up for them. I only saw the approval when I logged in this morning and saw that the date had changed and it was sitting on "Document Production." I last checked it at about 4.30 yesterday, so the approval must have come through last night.

08/01/2009: Both Marc and I arrived in Seattle, WA. (Anaïs on a J-1 Visa until March 20th, 2010.)

08/13/2009: We arrived in Berkeley, CA and moved in our current apartment.

09/25/2009: After 5 years together, we get married!

02/07/2010: Marc gets a big promotion and his salary is doubled: this is too big of a career opportunity for him: we decide to stay in the US.

02/08/2010: We start to work on getting a AOS application together.

03/07/2010: We send the application via USPS to the Chicago Lockbox.

03/10/2010: Application delivered in Chicago, 1:50 pm.

03/17/2010: Series of USCIS notification of acceptance e-mails received.

03/18/2010: Checks cashed this morning.

03/22/2010: All 4 NOA-1 received!

04/12/2010: Biometrics appointment at 12.00 at the Oakland, CA support center today. Everything went smoothly.

04/30/2010: Interview letter received in the mail! We had had no news and no touch since April 13th so the letter was unexpected!

05/14/2010: AOS and I-130 touched.

Wow... still waiting here... no other touches since day after my biometrics... not impatient, just anxious :blink:

Not itching to get a job yet, since when I left my previous job it was crazy and I just wanted some rest. So far I just busied myself with getting in touch with my creative side, doing handicrafts and reading. :star: I should be planning to get a driver's license soon too, under my married name - so far I only have my Instruction Permit...

Hoping for no RFEs! Just want to get this state of limbo over with... :lol: Best of luck to the rest in this forum!

Her BM appointment is Friday of next week

(biometrics has an appropriately similar acronym with a common hospital function);

but she will try for a walk-in biometrics today, as she will

have a foot operation 3 days before her scheduled appointment.
