I received expired EAD related RFE which i have already responded to. I've seen 2 sLUD (i-485) after that. One on the day they received the response and the other the day after. Well, I really wish my case would be transfered to CSC to avoid any kind of interview. I haven't receive my EAD yet.

Icepeck, usually it's good when you get LUDs after you sent the RFE response. Coz thats how mI got my EAD. Got an email that they receieved my response after 2 days that says theyve resume processing, 2 LUDs in two days and then on the 3rd day a 'card production ordered' email. if you don't live in Cali you will probably get transferred soon since you've got your biometrics done

Did you get your RFE before or after you received the appointment schedule for biometrics? When do you know you are not going to get one? I see some people's cases were transfered to CSC, but can you still get an RFE even if your case goes to CSC? I'm just speculating here  Unless I missed something else, the only RFE I might get is for the medical since I had my vaccination record and didn't want to bother with the CS and the 693 form

Yes, you can get an RFE from CSC. CSC tries to complete your case without interview, so if they see something that is missing, they RFE you, or if they want more info, they send you to an interview.

You know you have been RFE'd by you online status changing to RFE, and then getting a letter in the mail detailing what they need from you.

Hopefully you won't get an RFE for your medical, unless of course, your shots were not ticked as 'complete'. Mine were ticked as complete, and no RFE...yet!

My vaccination record is complete and they did put all the dates when I got all the shots, including a second shot for measles I had to get when I did the med exam for the K1. So fingers crossed!

Also, I'm just wondering... does everyone use the same website to check their status online?

I go to https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/Dashboard.do but I don't know if that's what everyone else is at too. Just wondering :)

No, I didn't try walk-in. I just got the appointment letter on Friday. But the USCIS website specifically says

"This office provides services to the general public by appointment from 8:00AM to 4:00PM, Monday through Friday.

This office provides services to military personnel from 9:00AM to 3:00PM, Monday through Friday. Military personnel do not need an appointment."

Unless that's just generic and it says that about all of them? I don't know. But, I took that to assume they don't accept walk-ins from non-military personnel. I'm looking at other offices, and realizing they all seem to say that (at least the ones in California).

That said, I have a question. I noticed there is an ASC office MUCH much closer to me than the one I was assigned to. I was assigned to one in a different city, about a 45 minute drive away. I found one in the same area, only 10 minutes away. How stupid is that. Do I HAVE to go to the one I'm assigned to? Or can I just go to the one that's closer and try a walk in there? Like, we're talking 6-7 miles away, vs. 40 miles away. stupid.

I think they say that for all offices. I did a walk in in Santa Rosa, CA and when I got there it said they are only accepting people with appointments for that day but I showed them my appointment letter and told them I decided to do it two weeks advanced since we were in the area and he said, 'sure, no prob'. I guess it depends how busy the office is. The one I went to, there was only 4 people and there was no longlines so I guess they didnt mind. You could always try.

sometimes your application can get separated. Maybe your AOS and EAD are on someone else's desk but you'll probably get NOAs this week. If you have your check, you can look at the back and try to see if you can make out the numbers. poeple say that thats your case number. once u get the case numbers, you can get online and check your status so you can stop worrying

The back of my check for AOS had a different number than the other 3 NOA's and would not work on USCIS website. Anyone else noticed this??? On My K1 number it did work fine, but maybe not so for AOS
