Putting our AOS packet in the mail today! It's so weird, AOS was far easier to put together than the K1 packet. Almost too easy....Okay, will stop psyching myself out and think positive!

If you have included G-1145 in your AOS package, you should receive three e-mails or/and SMS once the USCIS assigns your case numbers.

Filed our I-130 (doing the CR-1 Process) 03/04/2010 :D

I've always wondered, how do you find out when your NOA1 date is other than getting it in the mail?

There is no guessing. You'll have to wait for the mails. ;) As for me, I received three e-mails for my receipt numbers on January 22. The three NOAs showed up in the mailbox on January 25 with the NOA date January 22.

That's not necessarily true. When we did our K1, I was able to view the check online at my bank and got the WAC number from the back of the check; then checked the status online, all before I received my NOA1 in the mail.

Wondering why my check still isn't cashed? USPS showed it delivered Priority at 2 something p.m. on Thursday the 4th... I guess that's only 3 full business days, I won't worry too much until nearer the end of the week. Hope I didn't forget something!!

The above statement is not necessarily true either.

A lot of people have tried the check number combination and found it didn't work while others got it. The best thing is to wait. It will certainly come anyway. ;)

You should be fine as long as you sent the correct amount. They got my application on 01/18. I didn't monitor when the check was cashed. Three e-mails arrived on 01/22. All three mails showed up in the mailbox on 01/25.

How do you find out your Application Receipt #? Is this mailed to you? There was nothing on the forms that asked us about email addresses. So my guess is you can't proceed to find out if you get touches till you get the 'official' receipt in the mail.

Package was delivered March 8th to Chicago Lockbox.

Actually, your answer is erroneous. She's asking how to find out the date of the NOA1. She didn't ask how to know the receipt or case number. :P Read her question again. :bonk: See below. Unless of course when you checked your case status online using the receipt number that you have guessed, the NOA1 date showed up. That's possible.

VJ's guidelines state that you may opt to include Form G-1145 if you want to receive a notification by e-mail or by SMS once the USCIS receives your case. That's also written at the USCIS website.

Even if you didn't attach G-1145, you would still receive three separate mails (check your mailbox) from the USCIS, one for EAD, another for AOS, and then for AP. These mails contain your receipt numbers. You may use the receipt or case numbers to sign up for case status updates online.

Never mind I figured it out :) I can only start to get 'touch' updates when my husband gets our 1st NOA in the mail which will contain this receipt number.

I meant the actual mails that come with real envelopes for the lines above in bold. :star:
