That's very good, you'll likely not need an interview at your field office now, and the processing of the conditional greencard should be pretty quick overall. I'm surprised they did that before the biometrics appt. even took place.

Congrats!

I was very surprised. I didn't think there was any way it would get transferred this fast. But we are still preparing all of the necessary paperwork for an interview. We are not going to assume anything. It's better to be prepared.

just getting worried. sent AOS march 19. it was delivered march 25. since then, i have not heard any updates. are they getting slow this time?

i initially assumed you have sent them thru overnight mail like most of us did... but if the postal service states delivery of the 25th, my guess is to wait the usual 8-10 days before you receive the hard copy of the NOAs. so i would say not to worry just yet...

to others - any links/posts to how i can sign up to the USCIS site to check my status real-time? i'm curious as to how to know if you're being "touched" - lol :)

mailed mine on March 24 and reached Chicago Lbox on the 26th. But now my problem is, I wonder if I will have a problem with the revision of I-465 on March 31st. Coz if they review my papers after this date, I wonder if there will be a problem... kinda worried....:-(

not familiar with the forms... do you mean the i-485 AOS application? if that's the case, i think the post at the VJ homepage seems pretty clear:

"Beginning February 25, 2010, most applicants must submit Form I-485 to a USCIS Lockbox facility, depending on the eligibility category under which they are filing, as provided in the form instructions. USCIS Service Centers will forward all Form I-485 applications to the appropriate Lockbox facility until March 29, 2010. USCIS will accept previous versions of Form I-485 until March 29, 2010. After March 29, 2010, USCIS will only accept the Form I-485 dated “12/03/09.”Any previous versions of the the form that are submitted will be rejected. After the transitional period, the Service Centers will return any incorrectly filed Form I-485 with instructions to send the application to the correct location."

i'm not an expert to say you should be good to go, but only thing i would say is if you already filed using the i-485 form dated 12/03/09 (usu. located at the lower part of the document), there shouldn't be issues with the form itself. but if it's regarding incomplete requirements i can't say much about that...

VJ-ers just correct me if i'm wrong...! :)

you can sign up for updates here: https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/jsps/selectusertype.jsp;jsessionid=abcptQE3biHfj_Bp7GREs

this way you will be notified by text and email if your case status changes or has been touched. as long as you know your case numbers, this works.

I think you're right kittens. The main changes to the I485 are for people not filing to the Chicago Lockbox by default, like we are, and are instead instructed to send them to the USCIS service centres.

And yeah, anyone downloading the I485 online now should have the correct form, with the date you mentioned.

Also, I wanted to say for Binow... if they only received it on the 25th, there's no way they'd have a chance to get to it yet to send you any information. It's barely been 2 full business days! What do you expect? lol They received mine the morning of the 26th... I'm not expecting any word until next week. NEXT week.

Keep in mind as well that the Easter holiday is this weekend. I'm not sure what business days are off for this (Good Friday, for example), but still worth noting. Don't try to rush them. ;) You'll just stress out too much.

Thanks for starting the thread!

You might want to change your "Applied for" (K-1) status in your profile.

Your timeline is good. We can see now what to expect for her AOS.

Thanks again
