I just had a question for any of you who sent your packages via expresspost... or specifically any of you who asked for it to be signed for when it was delivered.

We did. For one, I'm irritated because it was guaranteed to arrive by 3pm on the 25th, and it did NOT. It didn't get there until 9:30am on the 26th. So we're going to the post office tomorrow to try to get our money back for that. But anyways, I was wondering if the tracking system showing it was signed for by 'L BOX' is actually true... because, let's face it 'L BOX' to me sounds like a place, or sorting area, not a person. :lol: Just wondering if anyone else had the same thing.

Mine also said "L. Box." So someone either really has the name "L. Box" or the Postal Service has a bad sense of humour.

On the up side, mine was mailed at lunchtime on a Tuesday from Los Angeles, and was in Chicago the next morning at 10 a.m.

Camilla - I got my NOA for my AOS package nearly two weeks ago and it is still sitting on acceptance. The USCIS website doesn't always update like it should. When we did the K1, it never changed to approved like it should. We only found out because we got the NOA2 in the mail!

Thanks guys! Good to hear I wasn't the only one who had it signed by L Box, and who thought that was weird. :lol:

We went to the post office today, and got a refund for the shipping charges since it didn't arrive on time. Woot!

add us to the list! Sent off AOS packet last March 19, Friday. Here's to hoping the sail's gonna be smooth!!!

Wishing you luck! My lawyer sent the entire packet via FedEx overnight mail on March 17. So ideally, you should receive your NOAs by the week of March 29! :thumbs:

===================================

Got all 4 NOAs today - yay! I was too busy to create online accounts or to check and we didn't file for email notifications so I was going nuts expecting the worst. Not normally a pessimist, but I believe in Murphy's Law...

Now waiting for biometrics... anyone know the normal time it takes to receive the letter? What usually is done there, and how long does the actual process take? :star: Just want to know what to expect.

mailed mine on March 24 and reached Chicago Lbox on the 26th. But now my problem is, I wonder if I will have a problem with the revision of I-465 on March 31st. Coz if they review my papers after this date, I wonder if there will be a problem... kinda worried....:-(

When you arrive at the ASC, you will go through security who will look at you're application and I.d. You will then go to the location of the appointment. When you arrive, at the door you will be given a form to fill out. Name, height, Alien# (this can be found on the appointment notice), weight and place of birth. Then you will have you're fingerprints taken followed by a picture for the card. I was told I can smile but no teeth. That's it. Then another wait begins.

That's very good, you'll likely not need an interview at your field office now, and the processing of the conditional greencard should be pretty quick overall. I'm surprised they did that before the biometrics appt. even took place.

Congrats!

hi, we did not file for email notifications too. what did you do to check your status online? thanks

it might be too early to expect to hear something from them. if they got it on the 25th, they probably wont look at it till after 5 days or 7 days after. Then you would get an email or a text. but since you didnt file for email notifications, you will find out if they are looking at your papers by checking if they have cashed the check. some say you can look at the numbers on the back of the encashed check and that will be your case number. I dont know for sure since I didnt get the chance to try this out since I got my emails and texts quite fast.

you might hear something from them maybe around the middle of the week. :thumbs:
