Hi guys,

How's it going? I am rested, relaxed, and ready to continue finishing my I-864!!!

Thanks to all those who helped me chill last night.

Today my AOS fee shows as PAID so I am getting ready to send everything in.

(The DS3032 has also been processed so I just paid the IV fee too! Yay!)

I have read about generating the barcode for the I-864.

My question is this:

Do I send in the receipt plus the barcode I generate with the instructions on Lingche??

Just the receipt from the gov website?

Do I attach the barcode to the receipt?? Actually pasted on a specific part, stapled??

And I'd like to ask these questions for the DS-230.

THANKS A LOT!!!!!

The Document Cover Sheet should have a barcode on it. Use that barcode instead of the one you made from following LingChe or James's instructions.

Fellow VJers, confirm...

Of course I should have opened it before asking.

I see the barcode, but it's weird...

It only shows like a 1-4 of the page. It's all distorted to one side. Am going to change computers with a more updated version of Adobe and if that doesn't work who should I call? NVC?

Oh No,.

Maybe you have a 'plug in' problem with yer web browser? Let's assume thats the case, for the nonce.

Instead of 'viewing' the file in the browser via an adobe plug in -

you can also download the file. Right Click the link, should be some option for 'download' or 'save' or 'save as' (I don't use IE, so can't walk you through any of the steps) But - save it to yer hard disk.

Then - open it (from yer hard disk) using foxit acrobat reader, then print it.

get foxit from here - http://www.foxitsoftware.com/

I don't like Adobe these days - it's too 'all encompassing' .

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

...several days later...

I finally was able to get the barcode sheet!!!!!!

Called NVC and told them what was going on. (I had tried several different computers and none worked!)

The operator said I wasn't the only person that had called in that day with that problem AND she was SUPER NICE!

I couldn't believe it!

Sending off I-864 tomorrow. One last question, do I send 2 photos or 4? (2 are sent and 2 are kept for the medical?)

gracias!

Dammit! This is the second time I've referred to the DS-230 as the I-864.
