Hi. I guess I was posting in the wrong thread (CSC) instead of here. Oh well, we're all in the same boat.

Mailed petition on March 30 and Vermont received it on April 1. Tim will call his bank tomorrow to see if the check's been cashed.

Good luck to my fellow March filers, and everyone else on VJ who are trying to be with their loved ones. (F)

Contacted the congressman today.I am sure it will do nothing but i guess it made me feel proactive. I am well prepared for the wait but it just seems to crawl along.

What did you contact your congressman for? I'm curious if this is something we should do as well. I had contacted one earlier, prior to trying for the K1, and had gotten a document stating my congressman's approval for my partner to enter the country, but it didn't do much for the tourist visa. : \

3/9/2010 - Sent in packet to VSC.

3/11/2010 - Packet arrived at VSC.

3/12/2010 - NOA1 Sent out.

3/16/2010 - Check cashed.

3/17/2010 - Touched.

3/18/2010 - NOA1 Received!

6/2/2010 - Notice of Approval email!

You can do this and they do a inquiry into your file. No one really knows if this helps or not. I did because i just wanted to do something in the hope the USCIS would understand someone else is aware and looking at our file. USCIS really does not answer to the congress and senate but they accept questions and kick out a "boiler plate" answer to these questions.
