YIPPEE! - NVC just confirmed that they sent my file out to Bogota on the 15th! DHL tracking of that day's only shipment to Bogota shows it already delivered & signed for about noon on the 17th. Completed DS2100 & DS230 from Packet 3 just e-mailed out to the embassy, wish us luck to try and still catch a July appointment date before the final July list is updated "between the 20th & the 30th" next week...

:wow:

See the earlier post on page 14 of this thread for how to do it. You don't have a tracking number, so you search by reference, as shown, adjusting the dates as shown in the original poster's specified example format to fit YOUR shipping date that NVC tells you. You then end up with a list of ALL packages sent out by the NVC through DHL on the given day to ALL embassies. Usually there is only 1 package shipped per day to any one embassy that presumably contains everything they have for them on that day, and which SHOULD include your file, if it was shipped on that day. Click on the tracking number listed for only THAT shipment that went to YOUR embassy, and it will break out the entire shipping trail for you from start to finish.

just a little bit confused...

what should i put on the reference? if NVC told us that they sent our package to USEM on June 14, 2010

1. Go to this website: http://track.dhl-usa...?nav=TrackByRef

2. In the "reference" box type without quotes "EXP 01 JUN 2010A"

3. In the date range Select June 2 2010 for both FROM and TO.

4. Click "Track" at bottom right of tracking section.

should i put EXP 14 JUN 2010A on reference or EXP 13 JUN 2010A ?

coz i tried these ---- EXP 14 JUN 2010A then put June 15, 2010 for both FROM and TO.

there was one sent to MANILA that was already delivered. but we called USEM today and said that they don't have the hard copy yet and just have the electronic copy. please help... :help:

Since your last touch at USCIS was 6/10/10, I would use "EXP 10 JUN 2010A" Also, I think the month has to be 3 letters not four. Then you have to try a few dates to see when it went out.

I tried "EXP 10 JUN 2010A", then used 12 06 10 for the dates and Philippines for Country. So it looks like your package was delivered on June 15th. Tracking number is 9166935116.

Congrats!

The last touch from USCIS would be from before it even got to NVC, so searching on that date will not be accurate. Since you want to track from NVC to Embassy, you have to use the date NVC gave you.

I tried a couple days before and after the day NVC told me. I think they told me it shipped on June 2nd, but there were no packages on that day, so I tried June 3rd and found one then.

Of course this is all a bit uncertain, because according to the tracking for what I THOUGHT was my package, it was delivered on the 8th, but DOS informed me the Embassy hasn't received it yet. Maybe they've received it but haven't opened it or updated the DOS database.

Annnnyway I just tried searching for you (Chris and Ainee) with EXP 14 JUN 2010A and a date range of the 14th-15th and got one that has already been delivered, tracking number 9166935665. Could be yours.

06/22/2010 Called DOS and was told Dublin hasn't received the package yet. Was I tracking the wrong one, or has Dublin just not opened it and updated the DOS database yet? Arrrrg.

Clare,

I had the same question to the DoS a week ago. They advised me that Paris had not received our case. Well based on the DHL tracking website, I was pretty sure that was just an answer I would hear from them until the embassy makes a move. I would bet it is very likely that Dublin has got your case but they didnt look at it yet. We called DoS last Tuesday and all of a sudden they told us that the embassy had received the case and also that our Packet 3 was on its way to my home! So expect to have your Packet 3 soon!

Cheers

Congrats!

thank you churchland!! :)

we called USEM yesterday. they told us that they only have the electronic copy. told chris to try calling again and talk to another agent since it should be there by now.. since it was sent out last June 14, 2010 (monday) it would only take 3 to 5 business days before it will be delivered. the second agent talked to him that it's possible that it's already with them. but they are currently screening it that's why it only shows they only have the electronic copy on their database sent by NVC. i like the second agent's answer better. rather than just telling us it wasn't there. surely DHL has a reputation to live up to! they told us that we can't schedule an interview yet even when we already have a case number and even though they already have our electronic copy of the package. they said they have to confirm first that they really have our case. sigh... that means we'll be using our third call tomorrow (Friday) to check up on them again. sigh... oh well!! the things we do for love!

chris and i were thinking the exact same thing!!!

in addition to what i posted a few minutes ago.. the first agent told chris that it takes about 4 weeks for them to receive it from NVC. i was like "what?? are you kidding me?" i think they need to tell their agents what kind of courier service NVC is using to send them the package. tsk tsk tsk... chris even told the agent that NVC told us that it was already sent to USEM last June 14, 2010. 4 weeks for DHL?? seriously!!

Thanks montblanc. I was crushed for a few minutes when DOS told me that, but after hanging up I figured it's probably like you say. They even said it takes 1-2 months for the package to get from NVC to embassy. Uhhhh, I don't think so...

Hopefully we both get our packets soon! Still waiting on police clearance for John right now anyway.
