YIPPEE! - NVC just confirmed that they sent my file out to Bogota on the 15th! DHL tracking of that day's only shipment to Bogota shows it already delivered & signed for about noon on the 17th. Completed DS2100 & DS230 from Packet 3 just e-mailed out to the embassy, wish us luck to try and still catch a July appointment date before the final July list is updated "between the 20th & the 30th" next week...

:wow:

I think that latest touch is that your barcode on your file was scanned at USCIS and sent to NVC. We got our NOA2 on 6/1, then a touch on 6/2. You will probably get your NVC hardcopy in the next day or two. I got mine in about 8 days after that last touch by USCIS.

hello! i wonder how you find out about all those touches. we signed up for the email and text message alerts but haven't heard from them anything! they received our papers on march 22. and still nothing! so do they send you emails or texts about those touches or something else? please give me an incite! thank you!

If you look at the last action date when you sighn on to your USCIS account. Look at the date. If someone inf the office moves your file or if anything is done with it there the date will change. :)

Tabouleh: Yep correct. Give them your USCIS case number. They will ask you to confirm the beneficiary's name and DOB. Petitioner's Name and DOB.

Then ask your question but do not forget to ask them for your NVC Case Number. It begins with a 3 letter code (that represents the Consulate your case will be forwarded to e.g for us Paris = PRS). Write that down you will need it for the rest of the process should you need to contact them again or later the Department of State.

:)

When you call you need to speak with someone. The automated system does not do the K1 fiancee visas, as they go through NVC so fast. They have probably already processed and sent your packet to the embassy.

Since your NOA2 was June 1, you can go to USCIS and your last touch should be June 2 or later. I am pretty sure that means your file was scanned one last time and sent to NVC.

Yes the file was scanned on 2nd june on USCIS website but after that there was no touch on the file. So i expect the file is in NVC but they are being little lazy to fwd my file or update my file's status . :(
