Some people's just take a while to get there. I think someone in the February thread had it take a few weeks. I wouldn't worry yet.

Crane & RIJSF, we also are still waiting for NOA2 from VSC. We got our NOA1 on March 3rd (!). VERY frustrating. Not an RFE or anything.

If we have not received an RFE.. does that suggest that someone is taking their time with checking the info or that it is currently in the state department background check phase? I sent like 100 extra pages of proof of relationship which I didn't have to send (only proof of meeting is needed). Do you think that could be holding it up?

Is there any info that we can attain from calling? I haven't read anything on this forum that says they give any useful information.

Thanks for answers in advance.

So worried and frustrated!

I am worried about the same. I copied all pages of both our passports and mine had extra pages added to it for more stamps so our packet probably looks huge when you factor in boarding passes and pictures for proof of meeting and the few photos and emails I threw in for proof of relationship front loading.

Well I did not do all of that. Just one Photo, copy of my passport with the stamps, and copies of my boarding pass, I made mine really simple. And I have not had an RFE either. So maybe ours is just in one of those piles waiting to picked out. Remeber these guys dont work 24 hrs a day 7 days a week. They are closed most saturdays and every sunday, and all holidays and so forth. Not only that they are human, Maybe some got behind or was on vacation for a little bit, or they had an emergancy, as much as I hate waiting, I can understand that our just might not be looked at untill later.

On the other hand, where is the structure? A 6mnth window is a really huge window. Can it be refined yes it can. Ever heard of the saying Hurry up and wait. Well this is the case. I have not tried calling anyone yet as its only been 80 days. But I imagine that if you where to call someone they would only be able to tell you what is in the system.

Yeah there is not alot of info that people are putting out in this forum. As is most prob dont know about it.

Ok well this is funny, My senators office called me today and said that they did the inquiry that I requested and that USCIS is requsting furhter evidence aka a RFE. However USCIS does not have a record of it? I called USCIS and I was told that I needed to set up and appointment with an Immigration Information Officer. And I did. Ok so if they are not tracking an RFE and they want me to go see an Immigration Officer..Is that bad?

I have been divorced and I had filled a i-130 last year in wich I did tell USCIS about. And according to my Senators Office USCIS is stating that they can not do any further processing with the i-129f untill the 1-130 is resolved. I have in my hand now a letter sent to me From USCIS in manila that the I-130 was withdrawn?

So it seems like this is a total mess. Should I be stressing? the letter states that the i130 was withdrawn 9 sept 2009.

I am not an expert but I am using the flowchart and guide from this website.

http://www.visajourney.com/content/k1guide

I am following the section outlined in the box toward the bottom of the page called "What to send to your fiance(e)once the I-129F is approved (NOA2)" You will need your hard copy of NOA2 for this part. Once I got my NOA2 in the mail. We started calling NVC to get a case number, then started tracking the package to the consulate.

I hope I have helped :)

When is your appointment with the Immigration officer? If you fax them a copy of your I-130 withdrawal letter, will that settle the matter? Maybe that would be faster then waiting for your appointment. I really couldn't tell you if that is good or bad. Maybe you can post this same question on the "K1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures" forum for a better answer.

Good Luck

My appointment with an Immigration Officer is this monday. I am in Maine so it was not so hard. And as far as I was told by USCIS that I will be fine the Withdrawl was before the file date of the i129f

I called NVC a week after my NOA2 date and they gave me my new case number, told me my petition had already been forwarded to Dublin, and gave me the embassy telephone number.

Now we're just waiting for the embassy to contact him. I got an employment letter from my work. I've requested tax transcripts. And John has requested a policer certificate. Just playing the waiting game again.

Oh, and I did get a letter from NVC, but I think a lot of people don't get it, so it's best to call and get hard answers from someone.

I'm the USC petitioner.

Here's hoping that this is a good week for the rest of us who are waiting.

Yes, good luck everyone who is still waiting. I have noticed Tuesday's sometimes are a good day for approvals.
