Do not forget that there might be additional fees, translations, certifications, and things like that also. I know that I have to pay an additional 45 to the MRV price. And the plane tickets for my fiencee to fly from where she is to St Lukes, and the other additional things she has to go to. In all after the NOA2 is Approved im forking out almost a grand for the rest. Good thing I have been saving every penny since...Heck I even stoped smoking to save money hahaha.

I saw a fee on the website called "Immigrant Visa Surcharge" for $45. There is no explanation on who has to pay that though. I had already planned on airfare and cost of translating documents. It's those "additional fees" that I haven't planned for.

Got this text/email today from the USCIS:

Current Status: Response to request for evidence received, and case processing has resumed.

Maybe, just maybe my little screw up didn't cost us too much time. Fingers crossed!!

NOA2 Approved!!

I got a page from USCIS at 1:47 pm while I was at work, but it didn't say whether it was approved or RFE. So I had to sweat it out until I got home at 4pm. What a relief

I know the fealing...if i stare at this screen any longer do you think that the NOA2 will appear hahaha. It is funny how the times that people file and then get approved seem to be speratic. Making it real hard and decietful for everyone.

We all know the feeling of "the wait". I always tried not to think about it or check the USCIS website. But I did check Igor's list yesterday and noticed none of the recent approvals were from China, so I thought mine would take forever. There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason on the order of approvals.

I read on another thread someone got a page at 1 A.M. with approval, so you never know.

Do you mean "6 months" until the whole process is over and you are together?

I have been watching the Jan/Feb 2010 threads and most are taking 65-85 days for NOA2. I doubt if it will take six months for NOA2 unless there is a problem.

Got a text msg from USCIS that there is a update on ur case status.. pls login to uscis.gov to check.

Got online and checked.. it said your I129F has been approved..

68days to NO2... Wat a relief.. Now the process starts to get the Visa in Hand..

WE got our approval from the NVC. They are sending me my packet 3......YAY!!!!! Should take about a week to arrive, then Sydney here I come.
