HELLO , MY FRIENDS

I AM IN A BIT OF TROUBLE HERE, MY WIFE GOES TO SCHOOL AND I WORK, SO I BEING THE IMMIGRANT WHO GRADUATED AND IS ON OPT ENDING IN MAY, WANTS TO FILE THE AFFIDAVIT OF SUPPORT, I DO MAKE ENOUGH TO SUPPORT AN HOUSEHOLD BUT I AM VERY CONFUSE AS TO HOW TO FILE THE FORM, CAN SOME ONE HELP ME FILL OUT THIS FORM, AS I READ THROUGH IT BUT I AM STILL CONFUSED ON HOW TO FILE IT.

Therefore I am saying that I want to self sponsor my household as I already work and I do not need a sponsor since i make enough money to support a household of 2.

sorry,

you can't self sponsor. that's why it's an affidavit of support for the petitioner, who is the sponsor. The sponsor has to be a USC or LPR, meaning a us citizan or permanent resident.

If your wife is filing for you, she is the sponsor. If she doesn't work, or doesn't make enough, she will need to find a joint sponsor, unless she has assets or something like that. since she is petitioning you, she is responsible for you. there's no way around that.

if it were that easy, everybody would be doing that and not having to go crazy finding joint sponsors o co-sponsors.

Your wife is your petitioner and therefore your sponsor. She is the one who has to fill out the I864. However, your income can be used to help meet the income requirements. Read the I864 instructions, carefully. There is a section that starts: Can the intending immigrant help me meet the income requirements? Read this part. There is a section in the form where you add your information.

no,

it has to be through employer. so if she isn't working, she would put $o and I believe a letter explaining why she isn't paying taxes. She will need a joint sponsor to help her cover you. There is a poverty guidelines and she must meet 125% over the poverty guidelines to petition for someone.
