I'm applying my mom to US. I sent I-130 at the end of April and received first letter from Vermont confirming the receipt of my application on May 28, 2005. However I received a transfer notice from Vermont today saying that: "This is to notify you we have transfered the above application to the office at: California Service Center. We transfer this case because the record indicates that office has jurisdiction over the case. This office will notify you of subsequent actionj taken on this case. Any further inqiries should be made to that office.

I got my green card and citizenship all through Vermont Center, why now they transfer my application to CA? Could it slow down my application? I'm living in Maryland, did I send to the wrong processing center at the first place?

Thanks for all comments!!!!

I got answer from another forum: http://www.uscis.gov/graphics/publicaffair...ns_072606PN.pdf

I just don't understand, according to most of the timeline, VSC actually processes much faster than CA center, why they still move so many files to CA? Does it mean CA will start on those cases all over again like they just received my application? How much longer I have to wait? I'm really frustrated now :(
