Thanks for the response. To clarify something more, the NOA1 would extend my Green Card for one year. The green card expires on May 19th, if I do not receive anything before that date, what does that do to my legal status?

OK...so I have yet to receive my NOA1. My application was mailed on 3/24 received on 3/25 and the check was cashed on 3/29. It has been 2 weeks but no sign of the NOA1. Is it time to freak out? Is there a way to find out what happened...Any help is appreciated...Thank you

I did not receive NOA1 also, after 2 weeks I received the biometrics appointment letter.

hello! I an april filer! a few days behind you sent paperwork on april 02nd, received on april 5th) and at the same service center (CALI)

As I know it is ok to walk in to the bio after you received the letter with the appointment day. I am planning to do the same thing...

just anxious waiting for my BIO letter appointment! (got the NOA1 on april 09th)

I see lots of people who filed around the same time as I did have recieved their Bio letters and scheduled dates. I got my NOA1 on 4-3-10 but have still not recieved my Bio letter yet. How long is too long of a wait to get the ASC letter? I filed 3-23-10. I'm thinking of infopass if I don't get it by the end of this month. Is there anyone else besides me in this situation? Or am I just getting paranoid too early? :help:

I remember Nov filer nancy07 worried about same situation. And her ASC office was also Atlanta.

I think Atlanta office is busy and takes time to set schedules. She filed 11/18 and got Bio letter 12/14.

Yes, you can. I went with my husband today and we both walked right in, he didn't have to wait for me in the car. But i guess it depends on the office. Good luck.

UPDATE: Thanks to happilycontent.

We had been unable to check our status online since getting the biometrics appointment letter. happilycontent told us this happened to them, and that once they went to the bio appointment, they were suddenly able to check their status online after that.

We had our bio appointment yesterday. Even yesterday we were still unable to check status online.

TODAY, lo and behold, we are able to check status online now. Woohoo! Now we just have to wait for approval.
