I got my biometrics appointment letter. It is for 4/22/10. Can someone update this for me please?!

One quick question though. Does my son have to go for this too? He is 6 years old. I got a "receipt notice"(received $80 for biometrics) with his name on it today as well. I'm sure I read here on VJ that kids under 14 don't need to go. Just want to make sure. Thanks for any help.

If you want to remove conditions on your son, I think he has to get fingerprinted and face scanned as a condition of removing conditions.

I asked on here the other day about my son needing a bio done again(he's 6 yrs old) and come to find out he does. I just got a letter in the mail today and his appointment is on 4/26 and mine is 4/22. Can I just bring him with me on the 22nd and his letter and ask them if they would give him an early bio? I thought kids under 14 didn't need to have this done again. Anyone know?

October 2006 - I-129F sent

10/24/2007 - INTERVIEW DATE!!!!!....APPROVED!!

10/30/2007 - Visa in hand!

AOS Timeline:

1/30/08 - Sent AOS pkg Priority Mail with USPS

3/12/08 - Biometrics taken

3/29/08 - EAD and AP in hand for me and my son

5/21/08 - Email-GC on its way!...RFE for my son's application

5/27/08 - GC arrives!!!

7/02/08 - Sons GC arrives!!!

ROC TIMELINE

3/23/10 - ROC sent!

3/29/10 - NOA1

4/22/10 - Biometrics Appt for me and my son

6/30/10 - Email saying card production ordered for me and my son

7/6/10 - Letter in the mail saying cards will arrive within 60 days

Got my bio today.. woohooo! So far so good knowing that I had lost my perm resident card and didnt have a copy to send along with my application. Keeping my fingers crossed!

Try it. We got ours done early. Seems they are busier in the morning. You can always call the local ASC listed on your appointment letter ahead of time, and perhaps get both of you done early.

I called the number on the bio letter and finally was able to talk to someone. He said he couldn't do anything for me over the phone and to just bring my son with me to my appointment(which is at 1pm) and they will let me know when I get there if they will take my son early or not. Depends on how busy they are I guess. Hopefully he will get his done same day. I'd hate to have to go back for 9am 4 days later. Atlanta traffic sucks early in the morning. Thanks for your help!

Others have got their children's biometrics done at the same time as their appointments without a problem even though the children are scheduled for a separate appointment. I doubt you will have a problem either - it makes sense that they will basically do you right after each other under the circumstances. Yeah, traffic is much better going through Atlanta around lunch time than for 9 am! Good luck.

Do you exit off I-75 at Highway 138 going home? If so, and you aren't too stressed from the traffic, would you like to get together for a coffee or something on your way back that day? If that sounds like a workable idea, send me a PM and we can work out the details. It would be great to finally meet you in person.

Hmmm. I'll say call uscis just to be double sure it hasn't been sent. 1 month is a long time to be waiting for the ASC letter. It is however not impossible for it to take this long. For your peace of mind, I'll suggest you call. Let us know what happens.

Count me in, I submitted my ROC in March 12, 2010. Here is my timeline for CSC:

March 12, 2010 - submitted ROC to CSC

March 15, 2010 - Cashed Check

March 22, 2010 - NOA 1 (date in USCIS online)

April 02, 2010 - received Biometric Letter

April 15, 2010 - Biometrics - Tukwila, Seattle, WA

May 02, 2010 ---- will be moving......

---- on the other hand, I did not receive a NOA1 letter in the mail nor a 1 year extension letter.
