Good luck Star! Is today the day they do te congressional inquiry?

Thank you Menina! Yes, today the caseworker will contact the embassy and I just spoke with them. The consulate probably will not recieve it until our Sunday night. Since, right now its Friday night in India, and they are in a different time zone then us. Lets see what next week brings. DOS keeps telling me administrative processing and the last update was end of February.

Thank you! I am hoping next week we make more progress. According to DOS they have not made any updates until end of February when they recieved my confirmation of my wedding plans. So, hoping next week I get more updates, or better yet he gets the visa :). :star:

I am right there with you! I sent the Consular Officer a letter on our case, so hopefully, Mumbai Consulate will come through for both of us soon! This wait has certainly been too long!!! Keep your head up, girl!!! We'll get through this!

That is great I am glad that you did that. Yeah we surely will. It will take some time, but I am very hopeful.

Thank you everybody for your support. But, I have good news and bad news. The bad news is the passport was returned to my fiance along with a 221 stating that we can not issue the visa until the administrative processing is complete. So, my fiance got really worried and called the consulate. They informed him that they have everything we need and they do not require anything from us and our file is complete. They told him to just relax and do not worry. They said once the administrative processing complete they wil contact him to submit his passport. They informed him that they have a limit as how long they can hold onto the passport. On the bottom they informed him to pay additional VFS fees once the processing is complete. So more waiting...........

I am feeling actually more confident then before, and I know this sounds crazy. But, we got confirmation from the consulate that they do not need anything and our case is just pending AP. Also, that our paperwork is complete. Just more waiting, and the last update for AP was this past friday. So, more waiting............

By the way the caseworker handling our issue at our congressmens office was not here today. So, no update from her. But, got confirmation from DOS regarding the last update this past friday about AP.

Hi guys,

Our documents were submitted with our wedding plans last Tuesday along with his passport. Now, just waiting eagerly to hear some good news about his visa issuance. Keep your fingers crossed everybody. Its coming now I know it. :dance:

Wish you the best of luck, i had one of my police reports rejected (from the london embassy) i have had it redone and resubmitted on the 25th of Feb.2010 have to wait 10- 15 working days before any news. i guess no news is kinda good news. hang in there. it will come (you know it).
