Well the good news is my ROC was approved. It took about 4 months longer than most others, and while some december/january filers got their approval letters I sat like a lonely October go-er with no news.

My congressman wrote a letter on my behalf to USCIS, and 2 days after USCIS received the letter, my case was approved. Thank you 48th district John Campbell for your assistance.

That being said, my Visa/Immigration journey is not yet complete. I will be filing my N-400 in October. So you haven't gotten rid of me!

Congratulations!

I never even thought of the congressmen route, but was (not so patiently) waiting and considering finally getting an attorney. We were August 09 filers and JUST got our approval Feb. 24th. So some are waiting even longer it seems. We are also going to go the N400 route in August. Best of luck!
