Hmm, looking through these made me remember one.

I hate it that my husband can't put his underwear in the basket. He throws them on the floor right next to it!

It's not that hard to open the lid and put it in!

I always yell at him to clean it up, so I usually feel better

No-one said it matters but, like most threads, it helps to know that you're not the only one. It helps to discuss things. I'm happy your blood pressure is under control but some people really enjoy being able to vent, it's cathartic.

What you said. :)

Unfortunately American doesn't have an official language. English is the un-official main language but as it's not official you can't really whinge too much.. and i think it's stupid. Just set a main language.. though i think because its been so long some people would complain. I think that America HAD to pick an official language they would be forced to say english and spanish...

One of my biggest pet peeves is misuse of the apostrophe. I really don't know why it's so hard to get.

apostropheposter.jpg

Ooo or: they're, there, and their or your and you're... I don't get why that's hard. Apostrophes I sometimes have issues with the possessive...

Language became a political and an emotional issue as early as the 1750s, when British settlers in Pennsylvania began to fear and resent the fact that a third of their fellow Pennsylvanians were German speakers.

Since that time, American nativists have sought to eradicate minority languages and discourage bilingualism wherever it could be found: in Maine and Louisiana, California and New Mexico, Hawaii and Puerto Rico, as well as in Pennsylvania. Complaints about Germans as well as other non-English-speakers became all too common in the last quarter of the 19th century, and again during and after World War I, when the fear of immigrants and their languages prompted protective English-only legislation. Many Americans considered nonanglophones to be less than human: in 1904 a railroad president told a congressional hearing on the mistreatment of immigrant workers, "These workers don't suffer--they don't even speak English."(Shanahan, 1989.)

I HATE it when people post cryptic messages on their FaceBook pages! OMG...Just either come to the point and say what is going on, or don't say anything at all! Got one recently that said, "I can't believe what happened today."

Me too! Attention whores. Just post what it is!!!

It totally bugs me when people, upon finding out what town in California I live in...go through a list of friends all OVER California, asking me if I know them.

 Sooooo, my brother is gay and he lives in California. I've actually had people say "OMG! My friend is gay! Does your brother know him?!" Yes. There's a registry for gay people, they all belong to it, and they all know each other. Asshat.

----

another one.

use of 'no problem' instead of 'yer welcome'.

If it's from a younger person - I give them the diatribe about how old cranky curmudgeons, like me, react to 'no problem'.

No Problem, you say? OMG - are you telling me there was a potential for a problem to exist? We might have had a problem? Have you been adequately trained to not only handle, but fix, said problems? No ?

Then why, in the name of God, would you insinuate there might have been a problem? Ya, ya did insinuate it, when you flipped from 'yer welcome', into 'no problem'. Stop it. Don't like it? lets talk to the boss..

I say "no problem" and "no worries" all the time. It's not YOUR problem, it's that YOU didn't cause ME any problems or worries. That's a dialect thing, I believe.

I hate it when I have to press 1 for English for many business calls I make. English is the language of the USA period!!

Unfortunately, English is not the official language of the USA.

I don't like it when people are blatantly insensitive and/or selfish.

I can't stand it when people through recycling in the garbage.

On the grammar front: they're/their/there and you're/your. Learn the difference. Yes, you look like an idiot when you write them incorrectly in professional memos or emails.

They would.... and one of the good reasons why they would is that they 'obtained' Puerto Rico as a 'territory' (colony) and their official language is Spanish.

I hate that and the random song quotes which supposedly have something to do with their life and it's like they want you to ask them "OMG what's wrong?" I just don't care, so I just started 'liking' all of those melancholy cryptic song titled statuses... hahaha

about an ex.

i was 'laundry slave' in a prior life.

She had some female problems, always have some dried crud on the crotch area. that in itself, wasn't so bad. But, she was a bigger girl, and so to 'take off' her undies, there would be some rolling of the cloth.

figure to start at the waistband, roll inward from the top to the crotch area.

by the time i got to her soiled panties, for laundry day, I absolutely had to put on plastic gloves to 'unroll' her undies - this soiled crotch area thing - was just waaaaaay to much.

you could tell it was time to purchase new undies, as after a while, this 'dried crud' actually ate through the cloth, leaving a ragged-edge hole in the crotch area.

To this day, I don't know what the dried crud was. But BOY was it TOXIC !!

No, these were not 'pretty undies' like my current wife wears. these were old granny panties...

 this is just freakin' nasty

I enjoy inappropriately liking things.

Me: Like
