Abeku was approved for his visa today. Despite the nearly six hour wait, he felt that the consulate who interviewed him was very friendly. Thank God he knew to study everything I had sent him and to simply speak from his heart. For example, he was asked the dates and the day of the week of each of my arrivals to Ghana. (I had been there five times in the last 2.5 years.) Abeku, being the organized man that he is knew each date and day by heart. The other questions were less intense and can be found under my review of the embassy. He has been told to return on the 26th to pick up his passport with the visa stamp.

We are just thankful to God, our Jehovah Jireh (our provider), for his grace and mercy once again. We are also very thankful for the countless individuals on VisaJourney who share their experiences with others so that we were prepared. We had crossed every "t" and dotted every "i". Last, thank you Prepobo for your friendship. God knows we need each other.

YEAH!!!!! Hopefully my fiance's interview will go smoothly.... we still have a while, but Ghana gets both good and bad reviews.

Wow...the day of the week? They really are ridiculous with that level of trivial detail in their questioning. Thank goodness he got through that!

Congrats!

Yes, the consular actually wanted to know the day of the week. Thankfully, I had always come on a Sunday, Monday or Friday. Fortunately, Abeku had the days etched in his heart and knew them all. After he told them the day of the week, the consular followed that up with, "How are you certain about that day?" He would then tell him something specific about that day related to the airport being crowded, waiting a long time for a bus to Elmina on a Sunday or fighting with the traffic on a Friday. I cannot believe he nailed it. Again, thank God for showing up and showing out. Smile. I wish you many blessings.

Mo! Mo!

I'm glad he got thru all of that. Asking for the day of the week? I mean, dude was really being a butthole right there.
