hi to all,

i came across this website for assistance in petitioning my wife (K-3) from the Philippines with me to my next duty station in the states (I'm in the military, stationed overseas in another country about to go back to the states). All in all it's been kind of difficult; mainly because the only assistance i got was from this website and the UCIS website. I didn't know there would be so much paperwork, fees and processing times. I've known american citizens (both naturalized and born) who have spouses who aren't citizens and made it sound like it's the easiest process but couldn't elaborate. I couldn't find one person in the military who is in the same situation i'm in. I have no Idea what to expect other than the time lines and the reviews from this website.

I feel like the more I research the immigration process the more i'm confused about what to do...if anyone could offer me a step in the right direction, especially those currently serving in the military i'd sure appreciate it......... thank you for taking the time to read this....

I really can't offer you any advice for your particular situation, but I can tell you that it is a long and complicated process for everyone who goes through it. If it were easy, there wouldn't be forums like this one for those who need help and also need to vent. :) Where are you at in the process?

Welcome to VJ, I hope you can find the answers you need!

I don't know if it will help or if you've tried it already, but USCIS has a Military Help Line. 1-877-CIS4MIL
