She arrived at 7 am. There was 120 people ahead of her and about 100 behind. She had about 15 lbs worth of evidences. She went and there was a guide explaining the procedures. She called before a lot of people to room 4. She told me that room 4 was special because everyone was amazed that she was called to that room. She was interviewed by a "tall man". It was rather simple interview. She said it took about 5 mins. There was a pink sheet on the table already. They only looked at a few pictures and call logs. She showed them call logs from V24/7 (savingcall.com) and Skype.

"Where does your husband live?"

"Where does your husband's parents live?"

"What is his job?"

"When and how did you guys met?"

"When is the wedding?"

"How many people from America attended your wedding?"

"When did he propose to you?"

um... ask question and i will try to answer it the best I can about the experience. cheers!

yes i created a pdf file and emailed to them. also, i uploaded pictures to photobucket.com and provided them a link. this is the reply i got from them.

"Thank you for your inquiry. Actually, as our policy, files will not be

reviewed until a consular officer interviews the beneficiary. Therefore,

as you also noted that the beneficiary would bring the original of the

attached documents to the interview, it is not necessary to forward

these copied documents to the case file."

my wife said most of the questions was based on the timeline. hopefully it is helpful

I'm happy your wife got the pink. Will she be getting her visa right away?

I'll be going back to Vietnam in two weeks to sign the books and make our marriage official, which would be on Mar 19. Then we plan to have a wedding ceremony in July with about two hundred people!! I may have at least one or two family members there and some close friends. Everybody else will be from Kha's family and their friends. It's a lot of people but that's how they do it.

How soon do you think I should start the CR-1 petition? Would it be best if my wife gets her first interview after the wedding ceremony?

All the best,

Michael

it is best for her to have the interview after the wedding ceremony. being married on paper is nothing compared to being married in front of hundreds of relatives and friends. having to honor the ancestors (vietnamese traditional) is very important to many people's eyes. if you have a sham marriage, you will not be able honor her ancestor. her relatives will not approve of it. it is very disrespectful to the ancestors. there are many religions in vietnam but everyone honor their ancestor. my wife is catholics and i'm "buddhist" but for our wedding ceremony, we both have to bow down to ancestors and light incense for them.

that is my opinion. anyhoo, good luck on your journey and have a blast at your wedding.
