Almost all workplaces forbid their employees from bringing a weapon to work, so that means she won't be able to protect herself with a gun to and from her car when she goes to work, for one. Secondly, most businesses require you to check all weapons before entering into their establishment, or restrict any weapons...like banks...places she's most likely to be driving to and from. So when you look at the few situations where a woman can legally carry a gun to and from her car, she'd be better off learning self defense as well as safety fundamentals. Reducing the chance of ever being in dangerous situation where they can end up being victimized is the best thing they can do.

the crime rate negates population. If you really think crime is caused by non-white young people then say so you racist! It is no surprise you are a racist, it is virtually required in order to be a liberal, but rarely do you so openly declare your colors.

I would suggest, nay, DARE you to promote legislation regulating young, non-white people rather than guns. Buck up there, Gene, tell us what you really feel and suggest we register young black men, for example.

If the key to low crime is Vermont is our population demographic, then it should be legsilated everywhere, yes? Shooter is correct. I have been carrying a concealed handgun everywhere I go for many, many years. I wouldn't even bother to READ a sign that said "no guns allowed" Banks in free states have no such signs anyway. Why? bank robbers don't care. Good people don't rob banks. No signs needed.

Are you really so naive, Gene? You think because the sign says "No concealed firearms" I get nervous and go back to my car and sheepishly disarm myself? Are you kidding me? Really? You think a guy that accepts the responsibility of defending himself and his family with deadly force if needed runs away from a sign?
