Police Certificate in canada takes 120 days or so

This is a 'put my mind at ease' question.

Last week, DH and I went to the Commissionaires for hubbys name search, the Commissionaires explained to us that DH was required to have the Electronic FingerPrint submission. Yes, I knew what I read on here and the USCIS site...ONLY if he has a criminal record, which he has never been in trouble with the law. But the gentleman was adamant that for immigration purposes the fingerprints were indeed needed...so we were like no problem let's do it and let's perform the name search as well. (which he stated he's never heard of for immigration purposes...either way...they're $97.50 richer!)

Well, DH Canadian Police Certificate arrived today; yellow paper with the top box X'd: No record found. "Based soley yada yada yada~

My question is: is the yellow form enough for his background check or must we now wait the 120 days (or less) for the fingerprint check. I am asking in case we are requested to proceed with our DCF and the fingerprint results have not been returned to us?

I'm a little ignorant to the police certificate. I'm also Canadian and am wondering where you got the information from for your police certificate.

I went to the local RCMP office. I signed a consent and they got my certificate in a few days. I'm also aware of something that got it on the stop. I have no idea why you'd have to wait 120 days if you are in Canada; especially if you have no priors.

I-130 was approved in 76 days from NOA1 date

it is more like 60 days for a fingerprinted rcmp check... however they screw up from time to time and dont put both names
