i fly to see hubby for 2 weeks on Tuesday before he starts his 6 month Pre deployment training. We have not started the visa process yet. I am scared they will turn me away when I say i am here to visit my husband. My passport is still in my maiden name, i am taking my marriage certificate, kids birth certificates, paperwork for my house to show ties to this country.

I have always travel through Chicago and never had any probs.

I don't know why but since this is the first trip since we married i am so worried they will say sorry , and turn me away.

Even though you are never guaranteed entry into the U.S., the more proof of ties to your home country that you can bring with you, the better your chances will be. You can also bring your most recent pay stubs, or a letter from your employer stating when they expect you back at work.

Just make sure you do not lie to the Border Officer about any questions they ask. Be as truthful as you can and only answer the questions asked, and as briefly as possible.

Good luck.
