Where / how did you buy your recent tickets for travel to Morocco?

We want to fly to Morocco this summer with the twins (before they turn 2 and we have to buy them actual seats on the plane). I am curious where others have bought their tickets. My surfing on the internet has led me to believe that we'll be staying here. Has anyone tried a travel agent or have other suggestions?

This is who I went through. I told him the cheapest fare I saw online and he found something better than that even:

I used www.kayak.com but I don't recommend it so much. I had to do a 3 leg trip and then after I got home I found another website that is less expensive and is only a 2 leg trip. That website is www.farecrawler.com. Those prices can change daily so if you don't like it one day check it out a day or two later. Also, be sure to clear your cookies when buying online as internet companies who monitor cookies generally give the best deal the first time you look and so if you clear the cookies it looks to their computers like it's your first time to their site.

During that time, it's not going to be that cheap... I always buy from the carrier as it seems to be less risky and also on the cheap side. I agree with vanessa about the cookies thing too. I prefer one stop and with children, that might be the best. I use Delta (who is partners with RAM). However Air France or British Airways might have good deals. Also make sure you know how luggage works because these days the luggage policies seem to always be changing. Good Luck!

I agree - try the airlines directly and try playing with dates. When I was looking I found them from Minneapolis - Marrakech for $2k each! When I did Iberia (out of Chicago) and played with dates - About $600 (this was for March). Late summer might be a better shot for you. Also try cities that you would be willing to drive to, not neccesarily just the very closest. You can try farecaster.com to see what the prices are looking like - also it's best to buy between 2-3 months before departure date - that's when prices will drop - anytime before 3 months they will be priced high.

I also wanted to add for the intl segment you will have to pay 10% of the adult ticket for each child and the full amount of sales tax on an adult ticket. So it's not 100% free :(

I only buy direct from the airlines too... the price difference that the cheap sites give you usually only amount to ten dollars or less, and when you use the same airline repeatedly, you can get frequent flyer miles... My next oversized bag with Royal Air Maroc will be free because I am a frequent flyer with them...

We recently found a well-priced one-way ticket from Morocco to Boston on Alitalia. I had never considered this airline before, nor had it come up on the search engines I had used for pricing tickets. But during a recent search on (I think) Orbitz.com, a decent fare with Alitalia popped up. I checked their site directly and found I could get it for about $20.00 less than the clearinghouse site, and we bought it for Salim. It is a one-stop flight from Casablanca through Rome and then on to Boston for $663.00. I was pretty psyched when we found it because most of the other one-way tickets were averaging AT LEAST $800.00. It might be worthwhile to check Alitalia's website directly, just like it often is on other airlines. I also called them to make sure I was getting the absolute lowest price because someone had recently told me they got an even lower fare when they CALLED the airline instead of booking online.

Good luck to everyone travelling to or from Morocco, especially those who are booking their one-ways for their loves to come and join them for the first time. Mine will be here this Saturday, insha'allah.....WOOOOOO HOOOOOOO!!!!

Do you see how big the sea is?

Do you see how big the sea is? My love for you is as big as the sea.

Do you see how far the sky is? My love for you is as far as the sky.

As big as the sea and as far as the sky I love you,

I waited for you, I called upon you, I drew you on the promenades,

You sorrow of my life, you tears of the flowers, you season of the birds,

How vast the forest is, my heart is as vast as the forest.

You who are drawn on my door, and drawn in my heart,

I waited for you a year, and throughout the year I would ask the walnut trees,

and I would see you in the sunny days, coming from the sunny days, and lost in the almond leaves,

How small is a tear, and I am just a tear in your way,

I want to vow a candle so that you would let me love you.
