we took the public transit...took about an hour and cost 2.50...if you google map it and print out directions, everyone was really quite helpful..Metro got us to within a block and a half from Hotel Dauphin.

Sometimes getting a cheaper hotel doesn't cut it when you don't get shuttle service to/from the airport. Depending on when you're getting in Wyatt, I might just look at public transit. Even if you rent a car, you're looking at probably parking downtown, or even at the hotel.

Actually, Le Dauphin isn't considered a cheap hotel. It's actually ranked as one of the better ones in the downtown core. I still wish I could have just had a Motel 6 for $60 or something, but c'est la vie, as the French say.

I was surprised to learn that there are no shuttles to Le Dauphin though. I was also wondering if I could just surreptitiously jump on a shuttle for a hotel that's near Le Dauphin...but I bet they'd check your hotel reservation first.

I suppose I could take public transit to the nearest Metro station then go from there. Hmm... Yes, I'm thinking as I type. So sue me.

Walk down Viger about three blocks, you're at Metro Square-Victoria. Take the metro to Berri-UQAM. They have a huge section with buses that take you out to the airport. Very reasonable.
