Of course there is. It is a commercial and they are selling something to you. He's ghey. The girls are paid...betcha.

Tony Stewart had some hot chicks in his Old Spice commercial - "she's from Russia." - and he's nowhere near ghey.

I attached 12 photos to our I-129 to begin with, we got about 20 altogether with different family members.

I'll be there for the interview, but don't wanna leave anything to chance

Family pics are great for status adjustment too. You are spot on there mapt about your presence being the strongest sort of help you can give.

Tony Stewart isn't the most interesting man in the world. He's just a guy who gets paid lots of money to drive a car in circles real, real fast.

Although, I'm pretty sure they both pull about the same amount of @$$.

But quality @zz makes up for quantity, what do you think? Maybe it is because I am old and do not have the "quantity option" (or at least "variety" option) anymore.

I've always been a quality over quantity type of guy. I guess that's why I'm married to a Russian.

Alright, last attempt to get this back on track before we get to page 3 and to an off-topic land forever.

Any other Russian-speaking couples out there with such experience in Kiev/Moscow?

If not, then I'll be the first one steering this thread to PIE!!!

Mart...

You are going to Kiev right? Kiev seems just a little but easier to deal with and they will (usually) let you right up to the interview window. Moscow will not.

Now...steer me into a mixed berry pie

Yes, Gary, I'm going to Kiev. I know they are not "bastards" like other consulates, but still...you know... I see people approved left and right, but I'm a little worried because our case "seems" easy, you know? two young people of the same age and no previous marriages..... who the hell knows. I mean even if they don't let me right up to the window CO should still be able to see I'm there. I'll give Daria my passport if they don't let me come up with her, so CO can see I'm around. NOA-2 wait is driving me insane, that's what's happening (and yes, I know it's only been 3 months, but every day apart is akin to torture).

Ok, now, here's your pie

This looks like a good berry pie!

Well, you don;t have a case like Mcat (I am not sure Mcat had a case like Mcat) so that should be a relief. (You know, I did always think he got over to Kiev awfuly fast, like one day we were telling he should go and the next day he posts he is there, I mean I know it is an overnight flight, but not necessarily THIS nigh...you know what I mean?)

They will know youa re there. The waiting room is small, they can see yu and you will go to the window before the "interview" to turn in your documents (which for us was more of an interview than the interview) So they will know you are there. Sometimes they may ask you to wait in the waiting room (5 ft. away) I wouldn't worry about it.

Make sure your documents are in order, that they are particular about.

I'm already preparing certain things (tax transcripts, tax returns, W-2s, pay stubs, bank statements - can't get letter of employment though, not sure if I'll be working for a different company come interview time) and started looking at forms.

From what I know, Kiev only requires two: 156 and 156K.

I'm sorry, I'm going through my "insane" phase this week :bonk:

There are some couples here on VJ but most don't stick around very long.

The forms you state are correct. They do not need the DS-230. You also need her BC, any military papers. Since she was never married that makes things simpler. And your affidavit of course. The employment letter is not important if you can show proof of curent income...recent check stubs, etc.

Mapt, you are going to do fine. Don't worry dude, the big party is just around the corner. We already ordered up a batch of rainbows and unicorns for you - so don't sweat it. You might get dinked a few interview points because you aren't bald or fat enough though :jest:
