I'm pretty new to this site and have posted a few times. I'm currently working on a k1 visa with an attorney I hired overseas. My fiancee is a Khmay Krom woman from South Vietnam. Our life stories are similar to each, she was widowed in 2003,I divorced 2003. It was sort of some divine intervention on how we met. I actually saw her on my friends marriage video, she was part of the cooking crew, he had no idea she was single. After countless letters and phone calls and her determination to learn English over the past year, I was able to visit her and her family. It was the most beautiful experience I've have ever experienced. So now I prepare like many of you already have. Mentally trying to keep it together has been the hardest I've ever been through, the pain of leaving your family behind is so hard but I'm determined as ever to bring her and the kids to the states. I want to thank websites like Visa journeys educating and helping me though this process.

2011 March 31 - Sent off Naturalization pkg overnight to Texas

2011 April 1 - Arrived in Texas at 10:21 am

2011 April 1 - NOA (rec'd via snail mail April 8)

2011 April 7 - Cheque cashed

2011 May 5 - Biometrics (letter rec'd via snail mail April 15)

2011 May 9 - Placed in line for interview scheduling

2011 June 13 - Rec'd yellow letter (no change in status online)

2011 June 23 - Rec'd text that my case has been scheduled for interview

2011 August 1 - Interview (rec'd via snail mail June 27) PASSED

2011 August 3 - Rec'd email that my case has been scheduled for Oath

2011 September 1 - Oath ceremony (rec'd snail mail Aug 5)

2011 September 1 - All done, yeah.

07/07/10 - Interview Appointment in Philly- July 7 @ 11:05 am APPROVED

07/19/10 - 2 YEAR Green Card received

Removal of Conditions (9 months 1 1/2 weeks or 285 days)

04/08/12 - Eligibility date

04/19/12 - Sent ROC Package

04/26/12 - Hardcopy NOAs Received

05/17/10 - Biometrics letter

05/24/12 - Successful Walk-in Biometrics in Dover DE

01/25/13 - APPROVED- ROC card production ordered

02/05/13 - 10 YEAR Green Card received

Naturalization (5 months 2 days or 155 days)

04/15/13 - Eligibility date

06/07/13 - Sent Package

06/20/13 - Hardcopy NOAs Received

06/27/12 - Successful Walk-in Biometrics in Dover DE
