I don't pray much, but I'd be happy to pray for every bit of misery in the world to fall straight into your lap.

In all likelihood thousands if not tens of thousands have lost their lives today, millions are affected from Chile throughout the Pacific region.

Calling you a douchebag is putting it mildly.

No Paul...usually when you make an insensitive bonehead comment like you did there, and like you've been doing in several threads over the past week (though this one really takes the cake), you deserve to get taken to task for it.

It's not a case of "people being too touchy"...it's a case of YOU being too uncaring and insensitive to the fact that likely thousands of lives were lost today in one of the largest recorded earthquakes in history. The fact that the earthquake wasn't in Texas or didn't affect anyone you happen to know is irrelevant -- it's still a horrible incident, and any attempt at making light of it on the very day of its occurrence is shameful, to say the least.

This isn't going to faze you though, is it? You're just going to scoff it all off and think that anyone who sees your comments as wrong-minded are bleeding heart pansies. And so yes, I'll side with Scandal's little prayer there. You deserve some bad stuff close to home. Maybe it will teach you a bit of perspective.

Screw You.

That's the nicest way I can put it.

I take nothing 'lightly' and I've had my own fair share of things going on at home that I don't go telling the world about. Guess what though? Life Happens. Things happen. Disaster happens.

It flat out sucks what happened to these people and I wish them all the best in their recovery over there.

I tend to approach certain things with sarcasm and light-heartedly because that's the best day to deal with some situations sometimes.

As far as you thinking I have made an 'insensitive bonehead' comment anywhere else, I haven't. You can think what you want, but reality is reality when it comes to certain things and some people flat out just don't get that. As I said, Life happens, but it's moving on beyond the bullshit that happens that makes us better people overall.

You deal with sorrow and anguish in your way and I'll deal with it mine. It doesn't make either one of us wrong in the way we deal with things.

Okay so if something personally happened to you, and I made a comment like the one you just made there, would you not be offended?

Think about it... just think about it.

You're on an immigration forum with people from around the world, some of our members have family there, some have been personally affected by this. I'm just saying there's a time and a place for your "sarcasm" and it isn't here.

If Texas had an earthquake and I said: "Oh finally! I have been praying for this to happen! Finally that idiotic state is down!" I doubt you'd be dealing with it with by being sarcastic and light hearted. In fact, you probably would come on here and tell me where to go for saying such things.

There are a lot of VJers (myself included) who have been waiting for a very long time to celebrate disaster in Texas. I am confident it will happen one day. God willing.

My hopes for a disaster have already been fulfilled:
