Hi everyone,

I'm getting ready to send I-864, and I'm not quite sure what to do here. Here's the issue (I hope someone who has been in the same situation can help):

I'm self-employed (and incorporated (S corporation), for tax purposes). I do not get 1099s (well, I got 3 for 2009, but I have way more than that), since there is no requirement to send one for a corporation.

First question: Do I need to send my 1120S tax return ? What do I put as my income on I-864? My net income, as listed on our 1040 and send Schedule E (which demonstrates my net income on 1040)? Not sure, cause I have practically nothing to support it (no 1099s). Just to clarify, my husband is the qualifying co-sponsor and we got all docs for him, but I'm confused as to what I need to send for myself.

Any help is highly appreciated.

Get the past 3 years of tax transcripts from IRS. They take the place of 1099s and are more valid. Call 1 800 929 1040. They are free. Takes about 7 days by snail mail or you can have them faxed to you while you are talking with them.

K1 denied, K3/K4, CR-1/CR-2, AOS, ROC, Adoption, US citizenship and dual citizenship

!! ALL PAU!

I have IRS transcripts, but they reflect the 1099s I already have.

You are actually not required to include tax returns for the previous 3 years, only the most recent.. The previous three years' return will only aid in proving that you can and have been employed... also, not sure about self-employed but for others, if you've included an IRS transcript, no need to have W-2 or 1099 because they are already shown...

ALL THE BEST
