Make sure to do a hard refresh on your browser when visiting to clear the old design and colors. You may need to do this now and again as I update / change things.

Feedback on colors welcome! I was told it was drab on the first go around -- well not anymore (welcome back VJ 1.0 colors!).

This is very close to final. Probably the only major updates will be made once the site goes live. See attached for some minor color changes and dividers.

I see not many people are posting about this - I wonder why?

Personally, I like change so I am sure I'll like it, although it seems just as blue as 'old VJ'!

He experimented with other colours and combinations but came back to the tried and true colours of the existing VJ .

I am more curious how little attention this thread has attracted though. Similar changes were adopted in the 'other' place and there was an outcry...I guess we'll see what happens when it goes live.

As I said, I like change, so I doubt I'll have a problem with the new format but I know people normally resist it.

I'll be curious too, since everyone was invited to offer their opinion beforehand (this is the second beta test, and the one that sounds & looks like it will go live). Ewok has worked hard from what I've seen but I'm sure his pulse will be 'elevated' the minute it goes live. It looks good though and there are probably also tools/features on the back end that we may/may-not even be aware of yet.

Update to all. I have FINALLY figured out the proper 301 redirect so that people visiting old pages on VisaJourney will automatically be sent to the new pages (different url) on the new site. This will prevent a bazillion broken links to VJ from both internal and external around the internet. This was a critical hurdle to overcome. Moving forward still .

i.e. the current VisaJourney Guides are at:

On the new VisaJourney they will be at:

http://www.visajourney.com/content/guides.php

When we upgrade people visiting the old link should be directed to the new page automatically instead of reaching a broken page .

It all looks very clean and easy to use I'll be interested to see what it's like when it goes live.

While you're at it could you maybe 'lose' some of the memebers who turn some topics into mud-throwing matches that are very boring for people who innocently wander into them. There are some threads that I don't even bother to read (don't know if there are other people like this) if I see it has been started by or involves certain members. Or maybe you could just start an 'I don't like so and so' thread and they can have their playground fights there.
