Return of ExpressPost question?

Hi Everyone,

I'm just wondering if anyone knows how accurate the tracking system is for Canada Post. When I call and enter the number it will say that there is no tracking info for that number which I would take as it has not been sent yet. Is there anyone out there that has discovered this to be accurate? Has there every been a time where someone has received their expresspost and it wasn't even updated on Canada Post? Thanks everyone.

My guess is you'll get a variety of info on this. I, personally, have had no issues tracking items with Canada Post. I have tracked several items to the U.S., and my passport/visa from Montreal as well. It usually only updates once a day, at the end of the day, give or take. That's what I've noticed. I usually track online.

on Wednesday Morning it said it was in Victoria and out for delivery....I got my envelope at 11:45 that day...

Some have no problems while others received NO tracking info what so ever! First time they knew the paperwork had been sent was seeing it in their mailbox

Tracking was broken for my p3 i sent to consulate in december. even when i called them they could not tell me the status. 3 days after it was delivered i was finally notified by email that it was received.

seems canda post is hit or miss with a few things lately.

From my experience, my package was updated 3 hours to even half a day after any "touches" on it.

I had (duh) forgotten to write down our Xpresspost tracking number. I did check the delivery notice number online and it provided lots of details (date attempted delivery, returned, dropped at postal outlet for pickup).

Turns out, we could have picked up our package that evening, instead of waiting until next day after 1pm, as noted on the notice! <smile> Oh well, at least I found the tracking info that morning and we got it a few hours earlier!

once the consulate decided to send mine out (I did the canada post tracking by email). they updated it on time even said the day they delivered it.. but i couldnt be there so then said it would be delivered at the closest SEV with a post office at the end of the day... Picked it up the next day after i got the email saying it was dropped off at the SEV.
