Bill Wright, a spokesman for U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, said the agency, part of the Homeland Security Department, has created an anti-immigrant identity fraud unit in Buffalo, New York, to address the issue.

Why up in Buffalo, NY? The fraud is huge in Texas and the southwest. Also they have to know that around the Fiesta supermarkets and flea markets only on the weekends that they sell the fake papers and ID's as ICE is off on those days. It is right out in the open too and with signs.

Part of Janet Napolitano's hairbrained directive to quit being so mean to Mexico and focus on the Canadian border. Presumably to stop all those Canadians from sneaking illegally into the USA, stealing American's identities, and using fraudulent documents to illegally work. ;)

Has it ever occurred to anyone that this administration really doesn't want to crack down on illegal immigration or even deter it?

For all of its babbling about "change" this administration hasn't shown that it is willing to do anything except perpetuate the same failed and discredited policies of the past. Its touted immigration reform is essentially nothing more than another rehashed amnesty bill that has already been soundly rejected by the American public after 7 previous amnesty legislation and/or immigration reform bills of the same ilk have proven to be absolute failures.

Not only occurred but could even be said to be a matter of fact.

I resided in a county that does not even have a fraction of the problem the US has with illegal aliens, almost non-existent actually, yet they still have stringent laws and heavy handed fines to proactively deal with and prevent illegal aliens from residing in Aus. For starters, the use of any government service is not an option period.

Which is precisely the point. In a list of 100 challenges facing Aus, illegal aliens would be 82. Nonetheless, they are still tough on them and anyone who hires them. Whereas, while illegal aliens in this economy would be a 5 or 6 for the US, absolutely nothing is being done. Every now and then someone pretends to do something, to shut people up, but really nothing changes and that is just a PR stunt. The next amnesty will happen, and there will be another and another and another.. Yet again, people will still do everything they can to enter and have a child here, who will become a citizen and even be eligible to be the next el presidente.

Anyone who was not born yesterday realizes exactly what is going on here, regarding both citizenship by birth and the prevention of illegal aliens; basically diddly-squat.
