I think some peeps here are being too quick to judge, based on a few lines of text of hearsay. No one knows the context of what happened...maybe he didn't know she was so ill, maybe he was just playing around. I'm not saying I wouldn't be pissed off, but to jump to conclusions like 'you need therapy'

'pent up hostility' and the like is just over the top, imo...

My husband once passed gas, like dead animal gas, and kidnapped my face pillow when i tried to cover myself. I had to take it full force, burned the hair in my nose. He then passed out laughing and eventually I joined too ...

Now that we are apart I wish I could have at least that :crying:

     LMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I agree with the idea that it was passive aggressive. I wouldn't find it funny at all, and don't know anyone that would.

I don't suggest doing it back to him, that could just escalate things, but I would definitely find out what the hell he was thinking, especially if he know you weren't feeling well - that's just rude.

Agreed, but if he KNEW she was feeling unwell then it's a little poor form but I doubt it was intended because of "pent up hostility".

Personally I know people that do this think this is fun (but it's a mutual thing in their relationship to play pranks). Rather than flipping out you should have told him that sort of thing isn't something you appreciate.

I personally don't appreciate either person in a relationship passing gas in front of the other. I know accidents happen, so I'm not worried about that but I feel it's a sign of disrespect and loss of romance to have it done on purpose. I told Tony that and he agrees. Had I never told Tony that then he wouldn't know how I feel. If he didn't tell me what he likes I wouldn't know (he does NOT like surprises.. parties included). Now the OP can sit down with her husband and tell him that she isn't okay with pranks (which is what that was). Also, it takes some time to get used to people and what they like and don't like.

When it comes to the question, things that are NOT okay for me - I am NOT okay with being lied to or cheated on. I don't agree with disagreeing in public because we are a team, so he tells me when we get home, or I him if we did/said something we didn't appreciate. We don't really think about what we DON'T like though because we've known each other for long enough (and talked online most of that whole time) we've talked about just about everything under the sun. It's important to have good communication.

I'd say that next time he has a few guy friends over watching the game or something. Annouce to him that you finally ordered those ####### enlargement pills he asked you to buy.

No..... Really it's possible it was passive aggressive, it's possible he thought it would be funny and he made a mistake. The real test comes when you make it apperent to him that you don't like that kind of thing and it happens again. Then he's not respecting you or your feelings. You deserve to be respected...Bottom line

ONCE AGAIN, men picking up for each others' immaturity... ok but ladies we all know that they are childish and we need to be prepared... That said, that was DUMB of him... cold water or not, funny or not, he could have found a BETTER, MORE MATURE way to have fun with you, his significant other. BUT MOST men dont think... lol

TELL HIM POINT BLANK that that was very "unacceptable" of him. Suggest that he do other more subtle things to charm you, instead of going completely over-board and risk "turning you off." The little things will enable both of you to find out what is funny to you vs funny to him (which clearly isnt the same thing)... BUT AS I SAID< make sure you ask him for a second of his time to have a SERIOUS (make sure to use that in the sentence) conversation with him.

THE HARD PART--- try to be very gentle and nice when you break the bad, lame, and stupid pranks he does to him... maybe he isnt aware or maybe he is too young-minded to grasp it... but clear your conscious and VENT to him

My husband loved to tickle me, and it really got in my nerves. One day I talked to him and explained that I really heated this kind of games and he never did it again. He said he was sorry and didn't have any idea he was upsetting me.

He is your husband. He loves you! I'm sure he didn't mean to be rude or aggressive.

Just talk to him and explain how you feel. I'm sure he has no idea he hurt you so much. For him it was just a silly thing.

Do not do it back to him, just tell him how you feel and ask for him to never do it again. As a person who loves you, I'm sure he will understand.

Oh, my. OH, my. Omyomyomy, si man!

In others' relationships, "wedgies are a sign of commitment; farts are a sign of love."

The considerate thing to do, when one needs (decides) to fart in bed, is to announce the imminent event with as much advance notice as possible, ensure that the direction of emissions is at least 90 degrees (optimally, 180 degrees) from partner, and flap the resultant odor ("odour," in certain countries) out YOUR side of the covers, si man. These principles (far more than mere "tips") ensure that the two fartners... er, partners will maintain a happy marriage, si man.

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

With all the love we have for our dear spouse, still there are some of those behaviours that you don't expect and make you cringe your nose and say NO WAY... that is completely UNACCEPTABLE!

What are some of your spouse's misbehaviours that you find unacceptable and unbearable...

i'll start...

i wasn't feeling too good yesterday, managed to feed my baby, gave my baby to my parents to get him to sleep and ready to call in a night... too tired to get up, i asked my husband if he can do me a favor and fill the humidifier with water for me since my nose bleeds from dry air.... he did so after awhile, came back to the bedroom and poured cold water on me while im in bed dazing off too sleep... I got so mad and pissed, i find it so RUDE and UNRULY! I yelled at him... asking why he did that... he said he's just fooling around. I really feel bad right now... until this morning... until now. What do you do?

I'd ask my parents to knock my husband unconscious, then strip all of his clothes off, then dump him in the highest snowbank that I could find in Antioch, Tennessee. If I recall, there are also some nice cliffs useful for 'unconscious husband tossing' , as well - so if the snow is melting soon, well, ya gots an option.

Seriously, if yer parents are there, they should have yer back, each and every time.

Please note, I am not advocating violence. This was all hypothetical.

(Nota Bene - I am male, so I have a wife, not a husband - I'd never pull this sh|t on my wife )

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
