Sponsored then wife 15 years ago, question on documentation for new K1

Great site, thank you.

I didn't see this question anywhere.

15 years ago I successfully sponsored my then wife to change her status from student to resident.

After being married 5 years we divorced. (living with her entire family was not easy!)

She remarried a US citizen, had kids, and became a good taxpaying US citizen herself.

It has been 10 years since and now I wish to marry a woman I have known 8 years ...

With our I-129f I included my final divorce statement. Please does anyone know what else I perhaps should have included to prove my ex-wife "maintained her status", also and especially for the "high-risk" consulate interview? Do you think I will be getting an RFE on this? Will a document showing my ex-wife's citizenship be sufficient or do I need to ask her for more documentation and if so what exactly?

Thanks ahead of time.

it's not on you to prove she maintained her status.

just supply the Alien number on the I-129F application - let USCIS do the research (they will do it, anyway, regardless )

EXACTLY WHAT step in the K-1 process are you in, now, as of this date/time stamp?

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

You are only responsible for her for a period of 10 years or until she Gets her US Citizenship or gets married again to a US citizen.. By your post I see you as being worry free and out in the clear now for 5 years.. I know because I sponsered and married a K-1 visa woman in 2002. She now has her US passport and we are divorced..So as per a phone call to USCIS. I need only list her on the new I129-F petition and they will verify this their own way.... Your good !! Best of luck with #2..

IMO, yer 'off the hook', so to speak, when she became a US Citizen.
