chicken curry spooned over poutine.

That's the shiznit, for me...

Yum !

Chicken Vindaloo over Pilau Rice.

It's a damn shame that a). there are no decent Indian restaurants with a hundred miles, and b). the wife hates Indian food. :(

Don't interrupt me when I'm talking to myself

My suggested meal, with real maple syrup, is for a man that does man's work, like logging all day, there a guy needs at least 5,000 calories per day just to maintain his weight.

But if your husband works in an office, comes home and flops in front of the TV set, and sucks beer, has a big gut, a half of a carrot stick would be his mans' meal.

It's all relative.

How true that is.. Yet I eat Asian food every night. Spicy curries, Beef Randang, noodle dishes and fried rice. All inclusive of vegetables. I agree though, that weight gain is all about caloric intake, directly proportional to activity level.

Moderation is key + exercise....

Some samples of my wife's cooking. We eat well. I'd back her in a competition with Calyso any day

All of that looks delicious. I love rice noodles. There is a glass noodle that is cooked in a clear soup base called Tanghon (tahnghuun) that's perfect on a cold day. I also love Pho. Give me a hot soup base with rice noodles and I'm happy. :)
