Would it be possible to make a new forum simply called "Clash of the VJ Titans" where sort of anything goes? All the good threads get shut down just when the poo-slinging is starting to hit fever pitch.

Wife's visa journey:

03/19/07: Initial mailing of I-129F.

07/07/11: U.S. Citizenship approved and Oath Ceremony!

MIL's visa journey:

07/26/11: Initial mailing of I-130.

05/22/12: Interview passed!

I was thinking the same thing. I was hoping they would at least last until 5:00. I got dragged into a boring conversation by that 1 coworker (there's 1 in every office) and by the time I come back; bam, locked threads.

For those of us stuck at work, it's enjoyable to watch Mox and VV go head to head; it's like... if Michael Moore and Rush Limbaugh were in a cage match.

I had actually gone through the effort of writing something coherent in that thread. Then I hit post and it had been closed.

It would be nice...though mods would eventually wear their Mod Hats and close it with a vengeance.

Not to worry...we still have the Off-Topic forum.

Not sure I understand what that means...

there is a site that is kind of an offshoot of VJ called Expats that has very limited moderation but no one really frequents there too much anymore.. I think people secretly want the moderation... it can get too crazy without it...

Gotcha. Hadn't heard of that one. Yeah...I guess I can see that if things got too chaotic they could cease to be useful as well. Guess I'll have to settle for the temporary firestorms that erupt from time to time. Thanks for the explanation.

RUB boards became a bit boring with all the thread locking.

It's still my daily source of entertainment. Because if it's not this.....it's progress report forums...and those drive me up the wall

Слава Україні!
