Hi everyone,

im now proudly married to my american wife....

i filled out the forms I-485, i-765 and g-325a

but about the medication one, it says i need to get my vaccines done....but we went to a health center but they told us that i needed to go to the immigration doctor (im in savannah georgia), do i really need to go there or any vaccine center will be fine?

plus, how long is it gunna take to get the "work authorization" and then "the I-551 stamp or green card"?

Congratulations on your marriage, oui man. Your questions are all answered in the AOS forum and the "Moving Here" forum -- please read to your heart's content, and then come back to the appropriate forum with questions that you still have. :)

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

where do i find a civil surgeon??? and who is he exactly? because even my wife doesnt know what it means exactly.....

hey I'm in Atlanta GA. Just go to this site from uscis.gov https://egov.uscis.gov/crisgwi/go?action=of...office_type=CIV then type in your zip code then it will show you the list of CS in your area. Then if its not yet a year of medical exam from overseas then ask the CS to just interpret your DS 3025 vaccination sheet. You can print the form I 693 and just used the pages needed to complete the vaccination. :) In my case i just get my vaccination from the local health office then show it to the CS. hope it helps..

:guides: and the example forms.

c(9) is you as you're an adjustment applicant.

a(6) is if you want an EAD BEFORE applying for AOS (which isn't really smart but it happens) but this isn't you because the EAD would then only be valid until the expiration of the I-94

Hello, I just filed my AOS last month..I am from statesboro..just an hour away from savannah...This is the only civil surgeon that covers the area Dr. William S. Hitch (address): 7001 Hodgson Memorial Drive, Suite 5, Savannah,GA 31408 ( Tel. No.) 912-3548056..I had my I-693 certifed by Dr. Hitch, believe it or not but he did not charge me any cost. I had my vaccination done at County Health Department. It would be best for you to call the CS office and ask for advice.

hi

thanks but i already did this too and i also was surprised that the civil surgeon didnt charge me for anything...First free thing about all of this process.

i have a question about the check to send with the AOS, do i need to make one of $930 and another one of $80 or just ONE check with $1,010???

and about the police clearance, do i have to go to a police station or my french one is enough?

because the one in france doesnt prove anything about me in the US....

thanks for your help

2 cheques or 1, it honestly doesn't matter. One is probably easiest though.

Why are you submitting a police clearance? if you read the instructions it says it's only needed if you're in a "special class". If you're filing AOS from K1 this isn't a "special class".
