Hello Everyone,

I received approval (email) of my I129f (NOA2) on 25 Feb 10, and I'm so excited to reach this level. But now some other questions come into play. (1) How will i know when my case reaches NVC? (2) Is there a NVC website to track my status? (3) how can i get a NVC case #?

Thank you all,

We hired a lawyer and we sent her all required documents from the beggining of this process. So we have pretty much everthing already. Just waiting for some news from the NVC. I keep seeeing on different forums about people calling the NVC to get a case number, I think i'm going to give them a few days and i will make the call. I never received any emails from USCIS eventhough i registered and requested to be emailed. do i need to give NVC my email address or will they use my contact info from the USCIS site. Please help.....

I'm in very unique situation, me and my fiance work together in Iraq, but she has to take a vacation to her country (macedonia) for the medical exam and the interview, so her vacation dates have to be very precise and hopefully we she can complete evertyghing during her vacation window... We will try to complete packet 3 from here via internet and with assistance of our lawyer. We are hoping to go to Macedonia for the medical and interview....that would be nice...

Call 603-334-0700. Follow the prompts. If your case has been assigned number, the AVR will read it out to you.

I too have this question, and I received my approval the same day, February 25th. I received the hard copy today, and tried last night at the NVC using my NOA2 'Receipt Number', which is the same number I used to track it on the USCIS website, but they hadn't received it yet.

Looking at the time lines and signatures of some individuals, the NVC has the K1 for just a few days. Does the NVC send you something prior to it going to the Embassy? Even on the NOA2 it mentions the paperwork is now going to the 'consulate' and says nothing about the NVC, so I wonder if for some its just a weigh station of sorts on its travel to the Embassy?

Anyway, if anyone can shed light on 100 percent certainty that the NVC acknowledges that they received and process your paperwork, please let us know.

Thanks in advance.

Michael

For K-1, you will need to talk to a HUMAN in order to get your case number. It is NOT inputted into the AVR as it's there only for a few days.

I wouldn't wait for the letter, but would call them a few days after you get your NOA2; DHS sends the file off to NVC shortly after approval. When you get your NVC number by calling, you save some time rather than waiting for NVC to mail you something out.
