Guys,

I read a couple of posts on the forum about sending photo to USCIS. Some suggest using a zip lock bag to store the photo. What did you guys do with the photo you sent to USCIS? Did you zip locked it? :)

Thats exactly what I did! I attached one zip lock bag with my "passport" type photos to my G325A and one with Doan's photos to her G325A in out petition package.

I want to zip lock my photo pages? Do you guys think it is good idea? or just zip lock the photos with photo pages? BTW, is USCIS scanning all the documents? Is this the reason why they don't want anything to attached or fastening?

I don't believe they scan the documents. They keep the originals together in their own file. They generally don't want you binding documents together because it makes it more difficult for them to separate the documents and sort them into their own files. However, they won't separate them if there's no need to do so. For example, a zip lock bag containing a passport style photo could be attached to a separate sheet of paper using staples or tape, and they would have no reason to remove the bag as long as they could still get the photo out when needed.

For the petition, I taped a small zip lock bag to a cover sheet for each G-325A, and put the passport style photos inside the bag. I put evidence photos in clear plastic photo album pages, and two-hole punched the pages at the top so the entire package could be bound to a piece of stiff cardboard with an ACCO fastener. This could have just as easily been done by printing photos 4 at a time on a standard size sheet of paper. I didn't do this because I have a hard time getting good contrast from my ink jet printer when printing on porous paper, and I'm too lazy to muck around to find good settings. I already have a preset that works great with photo paper.

For the interview, all the documents were separated into groups for submission - we had 3 applicants, so there were three different groups of documents. A series of pages for a single document was held together with a small paper clip. Entire groups of documents were then held together with bigger "butterfly" clips. Phuong's evidence photos were separated into groups by chronology (trip 1, trip 2, etc.), or by event (engagement ceremony, holiday in Hoi An, etc.), and held together with rubber bands. These went into a large zip lock bag that Phuong brought to the interview. The only photos they looked at (briefly) were the engagement ceremony pics.
