As long as you got the NSO copy of your birth cert whether it's late it's ok with the US Embassy. I was late registered back in 2000 and it went along fine with the US Embassy. I just got my visa last week.

They may, or may not ask for an explanation. Late registration is not uncommon, for a variety of reasons, from your parents not being married at the time of your birth, or just plain procrastination on their part. If you have any supporting documentation, then that may help if the need arises.

Marie was asked about hers, and the CO acted like she didn't believe her, yet she still approved her visa.

Bring supporting documents (e.g. baptismal cert., voter's ID) to prove that you are the person on the BC.

same as my case

iv read the passport requirements of some agency sayin " NBI clearance cant be accepted if applicants birth was registered late ( birth registration date is more that 1 month from date of birth). anybody encountered this?

Post a link. Like I said, this is a common issue in the Philippines, and shouldn't be a problem, if the applicant comes prepared.

I was born in 1974 and I was registered in 1982. I didn't encounter a problem with NBI at all because of said matter.
