Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

I (L) Susita.

I have kidney disease. I would love to be back in the work force, but it is impossible. I paid into SS for years and now I need it. He doesn't know chit about me or my life and I took immense offense to his words. 0ne day, he may become older and disabled.

I was having fun with him in the What is the Worst Thing... thread. I had thought he was maybe just acting like an azzhole to stir people up. It is starting to look like maybe he really is one.

My grandma is on social security and she also has a pension from where she retired, but here in NY the cost of living is REDICULOUS so this isn't enough to get by on.

Not to mention the Medicare loophole she's suffering through that right now because they won't cover any more of her prescriptions until she reaches a certain $ amount.

So I totally gotcha.

And it is really easy for someone young and healthy, totally able to work, to dismiss the importance of programs designed for those who can't. He WILL understand one day, unfortunately it will be too late then.

 I didn't know of this until I read the Canada threads and now the one about Soc Sec. Income.

On a lighter note, I was called unintelligent last night in the ghey thread.

You'd be surprised

I'm one of those people who has certain beliefs but can always see the reasoning behind (MOST) people's beliefs. (some people are just nuts!) Many people are against gay marriage because of their religious beliefs. I'm actually not, and I have my reasons for it. However, I can still be friends with people who don't feel the same way on certain subjects as I do, because I respect that everyone has the right to their opinion whether or not I agree with it. What I can't deal with, however, is hypocrites. Check out this fine interaction I had:
