I-130 problems

Background: I am a native born US citizen. My wife and I have been married for 2 years and 9 months, but have been living abroad almost the entire time. She entered the country on a Tourist visa at the end of January, and I submitted an I-130 for her last week. At the time I submitted the I-130, it was unclear to me if we could concurrently file her I-485 and Work permit application, or if we needed to await approval of the I-130 before submitting the other forms, so I just sent the I-130.

First question: could I have filed these applications concurrently? If so, can I submit the other forms while awaiting approval of the I-130, or did I have to send everything at the same time?

Second question: When I sent the I-130, I did not know to copy all pages of my passport/both sides of birth certificate. I sent copies of just the top of the birth certificate, and the picture page of the passport. Is my application likely to be rejected on those grounds? And if it will be rejected, will they take my $355 anyway?

Third question: It now seems that my wife may have a job offer at an international organization willing to offer her a G-4 visa. If she gets the job offer, and if the I-130 is not rejected, would it possible to stop our process and for her to leave the country and return (which would be necessary to get the G-4 visa), instead of waiting to get a work permit here in the US? Would she be penalized in a future application for having done this? Or, if the I-130 is rejected, would she have any trouble to exit and re-enter the US after having already attempted to file the I-130?

Any help/suggestions would be very much appreciated. As you can see, I am very confused.

Please, read this -> http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...page=i130guide2

Yes, you could have applied together, actually this is the right way to do. Take a look at the link and you will see.

About the work thing, you don't need to wait for her GC to be able to work. When you file for AOS (adjustment of status) you can file the form for Work permit. It takes about 3 months to receive it and she will be able to work. No need for G-4.

Please, take a look at the guides. Sending only the I-130 they will understand you are filing for CR1 (visa for wives who are overseas).

Good luck.
