Hi all, just figured i'd start a new thread of October filers who still havent received their NOA2s for their I-129F and I-130. My dates were Oct 13th 2009 for I-130 and Oct 22 2009 for I-129F at the California Service Center. Got touched on Jan 27th 2010. Had an infopass appt last week (Feb 18th) where they said that basically my wife's I-129F "had been processed" (which meant approval), but the 130 was still in processing or something. They had not sent the I-129F approved papers to the NVC and were waiting on the 130 (dont know for what; they already processed 129F and went thru all the security checks and all). I have another infopass apt for March 4th, but obviously hope I get approval before then and can cancel the appt. If you've also gotten touched recently but no decision or have not even been touched, do convene here and share your story. People in November and December are getting their NOA2s; where is ours?!?!?!? I dont know if there is systemwide holdup against October filers at the CSC, but I welcome any and all theories.

Good luck to all!

Be prepared to finish up with the I-130, to do NVC processing.

I'm betting the K-3 that you filed, will get tossed out, administratively closed, when it makes it to NVC.

The Service Centers have a habit of 'approving I-130 and K-3 on same day' , then the I-130 and K-3 paperwork is sent to NVC on same day, same bundle.

Oh I'm well familiar with the feb 1st ruling. yea actually that's exactly why they probably are holding my 129f forwarding to the NVC back; so that when they get done approving the 130, then they'll send both and the nvc will then only process the 130. i think that's b******t since they should have sent the 129f on and not hold it off for the 130; heck that's basically the mandate of the k3!

I would get one if I were you. They have access to your files, can tell you details about update dates that are just not available on the USCIS 800 toll free # or the case status website. from what i've read, depending which infopass agent you get, you may even be able to get specific informaiton as to if you're in the security check phase or not.

Your still in my prayers... it is comming soon... my thought on it... I think the hold up on your I-130 is that you didnt send in any pics with the petition.. 1 picture speaks a thousand words... I know that you sent a butt load of other stuff, and maybe they are just verifing everything.. I would just start gathering all your stuff as if you were already at the NVC so when your case gets there you can zoom zooom zoom!! XOXOXO

Thanks for all the good wishes Melody; we need them!!! yeah my wife just got her PCC done a couple of days ago. she's fixing a name screw up on her passport (they jumbled her dad's name; in the old passport, it was first middle last name and the new one has it as middle last first - wierd, since on the screen it is correct). and she's gonna go collect her SSLC and birth certificates. so yea she has a few things to do and I have the infopass next thursday. my understanding is that the reason the NVC stage takes longer than expected is b/c people wait till after approval to get their PCCs, birth certificates etc. we will have it all done in a couple of weeks once we get to that stage.

In any case, I dont know what magic you've got, but please do spread it in thoughts to me! You got your NOA2 in record time - do you do any visualization exercises? if so, what do you do?

I actually do, not just me though, my husband also :) we also got our DS-3032 accepted in only 3 days when ppl are still waiting :P

I use the power of imagination, I use my intuition, mixed together with lots of prayer and fasting <I fasted every other day for 6 months before I sent off the I-130> and when we recieved the NOA2 it was a really awesome time, my husband was actually at this temple down in Pune< we hadnt been able to talk for 2 weeks due to his phone not having reception,> the day I recieved the NOA2 he had been in meditation the whole day, then the approval came and his phone also started working the same day :P . DO you believe in the Power of NOW? Thoughts are things, Thoughts become things... we are like a magnet, if we wake up with negitive energy then negitive things are drawn to us... wake up with positive energy then positive things are drawn to us... less you ask, how do you wake up in positive energy.. through meditation and my husband does krya yoga... I am not able to do it as yet, so I just concentrate on my breath... :P

I truly agree with you Melody, Prayers is the answer to everything. May God help us hear something soon cos staying apart is very difficult for couples.

Well, as you know, you can count me in here...

CSC received our petition on October 2nd, NOA1 on October 15th, received our I-129F on October 22nd & NOA1 on October 23rd. Our petitions have not been touched since October 26th.

We didn't send pictures either, because our attorney never asked for them, and like a moron, I actually thought the title of Attorney meant she actually knew what she was doing.

So far I have:

Called USCIS twice, with no result

Faxed 2 Senators and my Representative

Made an InfoPass Appointment for Wednesday, March 3rd

I suppose it wouldn't do me any good to bring pictures to that appointment, huh?

Still waiting for any information whatsoever. I've convinced myself that our file has been lost, and sold to some illegal immigrant for $1,000, who will now assume my identity...yes, I have a great imagination...

Anyway...good luck to us all - but I'm feeling rather pessimistic at the moment.

So happy I found this thread today! Filed for the CR1 in the wonderful month of October... or at least I thought it was when we got married on the 6th.

Then I got stuck with the dreaded NOA1 date of Oct 21. What is it with that date?

I think there are at least 3 of us with this date having problems!

I had a touch on Feb 10 and we got our hopes up.... but then NOTHING happened!

And we sent pictures and proof and arabic and english marriage certificates and etc etc etc.

We filed first for a K1, but had a bad interview and everything was returned to uscis, but I know all of that has been cancelled out now, as I have the email and snail mail to prove it. And, you would think I would have an RFE if they needed something from that. My Congressman's office sent a letter of inquiry in January, but when I left the US on Feb 17, he had no response. Guess I will follow up there when I get back.

I don't know what to think. Just know seeing all those who filed after us getting approved is really depressing!

I stayed with my husband 45 days when we married and I am in Jordan now on a 3-week stay. I was hoping my next visit would be in May or June for the interview. But now I am thinking it will just be for my birthday in May, as I am losing hope for an interview before the end of summer now.

Thanks for giving me a place to vent!

Maybe we should pick a time and all call csc and complain together!

Guys, check your case updates. My cases got touched again yesterday (03-03-2010). Hopefully I will hear approval soon. Christi had an infopass appt yesterday and said that the K3s had been sitting at some western processing center. Basically sent to the wrong place and only now they had been started to getting looked at. In fact her cases had gotten touched yesterday. It may be the same for some of the rest of you folks here. Pray to God and hope this is it for all of us this week!
