AOS Fee of $70 for tax form review

We filed a complete package for AOS and 1-130 back in December complete with 3 years of tax returns. At the time I was growling that I could not send in the $70 and just be ''done with it''. As soon as we receive our NOA2 I understand that I can do it all online (whew).

My question -- has anyone NOT received an NOA2 requesting $70? or/// has anyone just paid the $70 at the interview?

I thought the 70 bucks for 'Affadavit of Support' was to be paid if the interview was NOT IN THE USA.

Since yer doing something else, you are interviewing IN the USA, and the 70 buck fee should be waived.

Maybe I got it backwards, I dunno

whew!!!! -- thanks Darnell -- interview is within a couple of weeks and yes am in usa and we initiated all apps in usa

The $70 fee is for people who have to be processed by the NVC and then later have an appointment at the US Embassy. Since you're Adjusting Status, you only pay for the I-130 and for the AOS, meaning the $1,010.
