you should check to make sure your attorney addressed both of your prior k1 petitions in the cover letter with your petition as we found out the hard way if something is not addressed in the original petition even if you dont feel it should create a problem it can and will.....

in our case the attorney did NOT address the first k1 that was filed for my fiance and it created a huge problem both at the service center and the embassy........

hi to all. im just back last nite to usa after a fun 2 months in thailand and cambodia playing on the beach with my fiance, and still no word from uscis. its now may 11, so in 3 days we've been filed for 1 friggin year!!! before one of you wrote that i should contact the uscis "ombudsman" (what the heck is that?) is it time i do so? i cant find his/her contact info anywhere in my posts so could someone plz give it to me again? gracias.

10/03/2012 - Mailed I-751 via USPS Priority Mail

10/05/2012 - Arrived @ VSC

09/19/2012 - NOA1 dated (actually received 11/7/12)

12/11/2012 - Biometrics taken

12/03/2012 - Conditional Green Card expires

I strongly disagree with the atty's statement... the congressional inquiry will not delay anything.. it will only help you get done sooner... USCIS must respond to the congressman to say why it is taking so long... something as simple as contacting your congressman can help you two be together so much sooner.. lawyers are far fromperfect and we have heard of so many couples that have suffered as a result of being misguided by an atty.
