I've been watching this forum for a while, since our NOA2 or there-abouts. It seems some AOS filings go straight to USCIS- Cal, and some get summoned for an interview (after the probable RFE for incomplete medical even if all your records are proper).

My question is about frontloading. We got married early, we wanted the Valentine's day anniversary date and Vicky just entered the US on Feb. 4. We want to file soon so she can get her EAD, but we're waiting for the certified marriage certificate, as well as waiting for her to be added on my insurance so we can finish up her immunizations and get the medical portion transcribed by a CS (if her insurance card arrives in the 2 weeks we're waiting for the marriage cert, otherwise we'll just pay it out of pocket, there's only one immunization left to do).

Since we're going to have to wait a little longer, she'll probably receive her SSN# soon, and I'll be able to add her on my bank account. I already added her to my health and life insurance at work. I can add her on my lease. Is frontloading with proof of cohab. and shared finances going to help in avoiding the interview? It will probably only add a week or two to be able to add all those, but it's another week or two she has to sit at home with no EAD too. I'm sure she's bored staying at home all the time (even though I'm spoiled rotten with a clean home and fresh meals). Is there a good chance with frontloading of avoiding an interview? My vacation time is pretty much all spent from my trip there, our honeymoon, etc. I can use a sick day if I need to, but if it's likely to avoid it I'd rather wait a week or two more before filing.

I wouldn't mind sending in additional documents or any other proof. Since photos were the only available proof then, I sent them with the package even if it was not in the guides or list of requirements.^^ I saw others sent in more like for example the VJ member with a user name "Jobel". She sent in atleast five or six extra documents like SS card, MN state ID, Unite Here Master card, Visa Debit Card...

frontloading seems is ok because it adds to your proof of a bonafide marriage.

make sure though that the main requirements are complete, correct and organized.

you don't really to make joint accounts for everything, especially if she really can't contribute financially anyway. and if you don't get asked for an interview, you don't need to show proofs of your being together though finances

as far as being bored, she can probaly start driving lessons w/you so she'll be ready to apply for a license later. she can also take free language lessons in your area, visit libraries and find asian/filipino stores :)

we didn't send in any extra for our AOS application but we didn;t get any RFEs and

it was sent to CA, approved w/out interview

just make sure your application is complete and won't give uscis a reason to RFE you or not to approve it (ex. blurred photocopies, illegible handwriting, wrong photo size/color etc :) and you should be ok
