Actually many have tried to run on creating job programs to help educate those who aren't otherwise able to find a job. It would be much more cost effective than them living on the system.

and hey, if cutting funding it motivation, then go for it as well. Stop being a leech!

Thats disingenuous at best. Look at Scott Brown, he supports a job creation bill and gets branded a dirty traitor by his fellow republicans, and even worse by the teabaggers. Lets get real, the republicans are no interested in creating jobs for low income families.

No no no.

"Creating Jobs" is what Communist China does (and actually they've had to rely on the free-market in recent years because it wasn't working for them with population growth).

Work programs to where people learn a skill to be able to find a job is what I'm referring to.

Republicans should be critical of the government creating jobs. It's not THEIR JOB to do so.

The role of government is to back the hell off and allow the market to do its thing.

You want to 'create' jobs? Then you lower the tax rate for small businesses, THAT will create jobs.

Of course why people still listen to a government that actually still pays farmers not to farm is beyond me....

heh, I see we have another liberal who gets their talking points from FOREIGNERS over at the Daily Kos, Huffington Post, etc...

Seriously?

Don't try and lump sum me just because I make a point. Just as it's not fair for me to lump sum you.

It just makes you look foolish.

All you're doing is parroting whatever unsubstantiated talking points you heard on the radio this morning. Foreigners? Where do you get that from? Try reading from the Brookings Institute or the Rand Corporation. I know it's not as sensational as rush or mark levin, but it's a lot more factual.

I'm a civil libertarian, so naturally, i hate this idea. But i'm also a pragmatist, so I do think in our reality, this is a good idea. Only problem is drug tests aren't cheap.

When you make a point that is actually valid and supported in fact, then i'll address it as such. But as it is, you're just copy and pasting from some teabagger Forum Postbot.

Sad to see that you think that way, instead of actually opening your eyes/brain.

Obviously you don't know how to do your own research either. If you did, you would know that the guy who runs the Daily Kos isn't American. The gal who runs the Huffinginton Post, isn't American. Media Matters for America and Moveon.org are funded by people like George Soros, need I go on. Damn. When the hell are people going to wake up.

Al you can do is come in here and lump sum people like a ###### jack #### instead of actually looking into something. You automatically assume it's some 'right wing' conspiracy thing or something.

It's people like you that are a part of the problem.

Damn, the idea that you would try and attack me for talking points and use them as your defense. Are you kidding me?

Well, this just shows how much of a neophyte you really are, both in politics and in immigration matters. First of all, I don't read either of those unless linked in a broader story on another site. Secondly, both are american citizens. Sorry, i'm not the one here copy and pasting talking points from blogs, you are. Don't try to blame me for your deficiencies.

The gal who runs the Huffinginton Post, isn't American.

Huffington was born Arianna Stassinopoulos in Athens, Greece, the daughter of Konstantinos (a journalist and management consultant) and Elli (née Georgiadi) Stassinopoulos, and is the sister of Agapi (an author, speaker and performer). To this day, she speaks with a marked Greek accent. She moved to England at the age of 16 and attended Girton College at Cambridge University where in 1971 she was President of the Cambridge Union Society, the third woman to hold the position, and graduated with a BA (later to become an MA in accordance with Cambridge's practice) in economics in 1972.[citation needed]

Originally from Greece, she moved to England when she was 16 and graduated from Cambridge University with an M.A. in economics. At 21, she became president of the famed debating society, the Cambridge Union.

Just because you are born here doesn't make you "American." (don't even try and go with the 14th amendment). Two foreign born parents who so happen to be here when their child is born should nix that.

Arriana is Greek-American technically anyway and Markos is the product of both foreign parents.

My point is though, most who are having the biggest influence on American politics today wouldn't understand this country if it bit them on the #### and most of them have foreign ties, which is quite disturbing to say the least.

You can accuse me of copy/pasting all you want and that's fine if you are that bloody ignorant. It just shows me you are more about assuming everything is a 'talking point' of someone else just because you might disagree with it.

a month's worth of benefits probably costs more than the drug test. also note that "mandatory random drug tests" like the one i'm subject to - while it can happen any day, i've been here for almost 8 years and had one only when i first hired.

My company pay $35 per employee they want to drug test.

Definitely a lot cheaper than monthly benefits.

They may be foreign born, but are still american citizens and have demonstrated a far greater grasp of the American political environment than you, or a large number of native born Americans.

You still dont' deny that you copy and paste your posts. Whatever makes you sleep better at night. Keep posting, by all means, this is quite entertaining.
